Agreed. Unleash him on the BLM crowd. And get Bill Bratton out of NYC and use him also.

President-elect Donald Trump took a swipe at services football as he attended his first Army-Navy game on Saturday.

During a half-time interview with CBS, he said: 'I just love the armed forces, love the folks. The spirit is so incredible.

'I mean, I don't know if it's necessarily the best football, but it's very good. But boy do they have spirit. More than anybody, it's beautiful.'

The comment sparked a backlash on social media, but some insisted his remarks were accurate during a game that was full of turnovers and with little passes.

He spoke as the Army Black Knights stormed to victory in the storied rivalry for the first time in 14 years.

Thanks to Trump, It’s Safe to Say ‘Merry Christmas’ Again

And so it is apparently “safe” for Christians to be rude to their Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, or nonreligious friends and colleagues by regaling them with sectarian holiday greetings. The war on common courtesy has apparently been subordinated to the war on “political correctness.”

Merry Christmas! Big Grin

Yeah, I'm sure there was a gigantic backlash for what was a truthful statement.
It was probably a liberal or two suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) that made a comment against it.

Well, he's right, those football programs (and their records) are pretty useless in a broad sense and an afterthought, at best. Nobody, ever, thinks of those teams when thinking "football". Recognizing it doesn't make him unpatriotic, or unappreciative of the services.

What an asshat. Being Jewish I've never been offended by anyone wishing me Merry Christmas and my Christian friends never have been offended by be wishing them Happy Chanukah.

Andy Puzder (nominee for Sec of Labor) has in the past strongly supported foreign workers.

but it sounds like Puzder and Trump came to a meeting of the minds.

Puzder now:

"My job as a business person is to maximize profits for my company, employees and shareholders. My job as the Secretary of Labor, if confirmed, is to serve U.S. citizen workers – that is my moral and constitutional duty.

The public spoke loud and clear in this election, and delivered a mandate to protect American workers. It makes no economic sense to spend trillions on welfare and jobless benefits for out of work Americans while bringing in foreign workers to fill jobs in their place.

As Secretary of Labor, I will fiercely defend American workers and implement my piece of the ten point plan the President-elect laid out. President-elect Trump’s plan to establish new immigration controls will boost wages and ensure that open jobs are offered to American workers first. Hire American and Buy American is our policy, and the one supported by voters in both parties.

I will not provide guest worker visas to companies that break the rules, and will support reforms to raise wages for Americans — I know the system from the inside, and will be the best champion American workers have had.

With 94 million Americans outside the labor force, and massive unemployment in our inner cities and among minority workers, my job will be to help these workers find jobs. We also have large unemployment in our immigrant communities, and these communities benefit the most from clamping down on guest worker programs that compete against them."

But it was perfectly ok for McCain when interviewed on Fox to say that Navy needed to let Army win as not to demoralize them. McCain repeated it over and over.

I have to wonder with the powerhouse that Navy has been if they didn't tank it.

Donald Trump has reportedly picked Michigan GOP chairwoman, Ronna Romney McDaniel, to lead the Republican national committee. McDaniel is the niece of the 2012 Republican presidential nominee.

In the end, it was incoming White House chief of staff Reince Priebus who proved most persuasive. Priebus is the current RNC chairman so naturally Trump viewed his opinion as most relevant. Priebus was impressed with McDaniel's work in turning Michigan red this election year – the first time it’s happened since the state voted for George H. W. Bush in 1988.

Trump may have picked McDaniel for the position, but technically the decision is made by the RNC’s 168-member executive committee. However, a Republican president’s endorsement is critical. Numerous members of the committee have said they will pick whomever Trump chooses.

The committee will vote in January.

Navy lost their QB and their first and second string RBs in the game against Temple last week. They had a lot to try to overcome.

I think they would rather not show up than be the team that let Army beat them after so many years. That would be like the Yankees or Sox letting the other win a playoff game.

I've seen a lot of insanity from liberals about this election, but tonight takes the cake. Now there are calls to re-do the election! Since, obviously, the Russkies meddled with the election it is an illegitimate outcome. The only logical course of action, so it is said, is to have a do-over.

They just can't accept the fact Trump won. There must be some mistake somewhere, because they can't fathom so many would be so stupid as to vote Trump.

So sad.

Want to watch their heads explode? When they mention the Russians, just tell them "Eh, it'll be ok, they just balanced out the election meddling of CNN. And MSNBC. And CBS. And the NYT. And (just keep rattling them off)." It will make their heads explode.
