I'm sure I would have been, too. (I don't watch football.)

Truly.

But, however, something for everyone to keep in mind about the game regardless of what they thought of it is that it was a game. What I’m impressed by are the men who played that game. The players were recruited to the military academies for reasons other than their ability to play a game, and for that I’m profoundly grateful.

But I’m also happy that Army won at last. Smile

Well, he's right, those football programs (and their records) are pretty useless in a broad sense and an afterthought, at best. Nobody, ever, thinks of those teams when thinking "football". Recognizing it doesn't make him unpatriotic, or unappreciative of the services.

But it was perfectly ok for McCain when interviewed on Fox to say that Navy needed to let Army win as not to demoralize them. McCain repeated it over and over.

I have to wonder with the powerhouse that Navy has been if they didn't tank it.

Not a chance in hell of that. Tanking it is simply not in the DNA of those men.

Navy lost the leading rusher and starting QB in the AAC championship against Temple last weekend. Which is also why Temple won that game.

Army was decent this year, and met a banged up Navy, and won. Ending the streak at 14.

Could be worse. Notre Dame had a 43 game winning streak against USNA that ran since we had Staubach as QB.

And I think the Corps of Cadets and Brigade of Midshipman loved having DT show up. Having a POTUS (or POTUS to be) that cares enough and respects what these schools mean to the patriotic americans is a huge benefit to morale. I certainly felt that way when Reagan came to our games (and when he handed me my diploma at USNA in 1985).

Here is a link on the Kennedy win in Louisianna. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics...dlines_headlines_hed

One final kick in the nuts in the historic beatdown of the Democrats in 2016. Democrats-- that would be the party that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi say does not need to change. May the clueless continue to lead this corrupt, criminal organization right over the cliff.

Donald Trump says he would rather be Man of The Year because Person of The Year is 'politically correct'

Quote:
Donald Trump has caused controversy with his comments after being awarded Time Person of The Year.

At an Iowa rally on Thursday night, he said: “They used to call it ‘Man of the Year,’ but they can’t do that anymore, so they call it ‘person.’ They want to be politically correct. That’s OK.”

Then, he brought it up again on Friday at a Louisiana rally.

He asked: “Who’d rather have it the ‘Man of the Year?”

The president elect then asked the women of the audience if they would rather be Person of The Year, Man of The Year or Woman of The Year.

He concluded: “All the women want it to be ‘Man of the Year.'”

Mr Trump said: “That could be why the magazine business isn’t so great, right?”

McCain and Graham are joining Democrat demands for an investigation into whether Russia influenced the presidential election.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-g...-of-russian-hacking/

I don't know about you, but I entered the voting booth ready to pull the lever for Hillary Clinton, and then I felt overcome by some kind of invisible force to pull the lever for Trump. And... and... it's all coming back to me now...there was a definite odor of beef stroganoff in the booth.... And I exited the booth-- I couldn't help myself!-- doing, you know, one of those little Cossack dances with arms folded and stiff legged kicks?

God, I hope McCain and Miss Lindsay get to the bottom of this.

Maybe they could do something about the corruption and sleaze that was exposed too?

Ya know, it just hit me how good a day this is.

Got some range time in yesterday. Steelers won today. Penguins won last night. Penn State's the B10 champion and, oh yeah, Trump's still the President Elect. Big Grin

So. I am sitting here watching the Fox Sunday thing. The wife asks something about them moving to the White House. I say, Rosie says they can't. He's autistic. Lights fires. Tortures small animals. Etc. The wife says, Lindsey Graham aside (because Lindsey calls all that "Tuesday"), it sounded like Trumps are all moving into government housing in DC after the school year.

Score one for the wife.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.
