So Rex Tillerson will be nominated for Secretary of State. Can't say I'm too excited about that pick, but if Trump wants him, let's see what he can do.

That pic has been floating around all fall. It is classic for either HRC (a) (with Bill's thumb out low) "I feel your pain" or (b) "I make this shit up as I go along. Here's my inauthentic Tiegen-face to kinda' sense there's pain talk locally present and shit that might further my quest to be Queen."

Long story short. I think it was from something shallow as Elizabeth Warren's accounting of her 1/32 Native American heritage.

Another feel good happening:

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos plans to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s meeting of tech-industry executives this Wednesday in New York, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Amazon’s (AMZN) chief executive is expected to join other tech heavyweights already planning on attending, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Oracle co-CEO Safra Catz, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins, as well as Larry Page and Eric Schmidt, CEO and chairman of Google parent Alphabet, respectively.

Previous reports indicate the meeting on Wednesday will take place at Trump Tower in Manhattan, the same building where the president-elect has lived for the past three decades and apparently plans on living part-time following his inauguration this January.

The press are currently not invited to attend. CBS News reported Catz, who previously met with Trump in November, plans to discuss solutions for reforming the tax code, reducing regulation, and negotiating better trade deals.

Not everyone, however, may be as eager to break bread with the president-elect, given that many tech leaders have publicly clashed with Trump. Cook and Page, for example, participated in a discussion back in May at the American Enterprise Institute’s annual World Forum around how to stop Trump’s nomination.

Trump has publicly criticized Apple (AAPL) for manufacturing its phones in China and refusing to provide security backdoors to law enforcement. Meanwhile, Trump and Bezos locked horns when the president-elect temporarily blacklisted The Washington Post, which Bezos bought in 2013, from campaign events, and described Bezos’ ownership of the Post as a tax dodge.

The president-elect has also come down hard on issues considered vital to the tech industry’s interests, including immigration and trade. Indeed, a Trump administration would possibly restrict the number of workers who enter the country with an H-1B visa — a type of visa employed by some tech workers and the same kind of visa Trump’s wife Melania received in 1996 to legally work in the U.S.

I am completely amazed at what I see happening at times and sometimes get choked up. I also noticed some of the people at Trump's Thank You Rallies were also choked up at times. When has an elected President ever had Thank You Rallies before taking office.

Also Chris Wallace seems to be the only Press Person that Trump trusts at the time and seems to be fair:

Financial Transparency Comments
By Tom Blumer | December 11, 2016 | 9:34 PM EST

At the end of the panel discussion on the most recent Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace asked the Associated Press's Julie Pace how big of a deal she thought President-Elect Donald Trump's "transparency" in moving away from direct involvement in his business interests would be.

Her answer came across to me as self-important, given that she basically said that the she and the press were going to consistently report on it "whether they (the public) care about it or not." Wallace appeared to react similarly. His response to her answer was delicious, especially because it ended the segment: "I think Donald Trump's going to determine his own interests, not Julie Pace." Ouch.

The discussion concerned Trump's determination, as stated in a prerecorded interview segment with Wallace during Army-Navy game Saturday, to keep his family involved in the Trump brand businesses, even as he has declared that he won't be involved at all. Whether that's the best move in the circumstances should be driven by its effect on Trump's ability to carry out the duties of the presidency. From the panel discussion, it appears that at least two members of the media won't accept anything short of the "blind trust" maneuvers in which career politicians have usually engaged.

Remember back in the Bush 43 years? The msm LOVED McCain. He was always 'reaching across the aisle' and doing all that 'compromise' stuff the libs always cry for when they don't have the White House (but immediately forget about when they have it). Rush Limbaugh called him the 'MSM's president' during those 8 years. McCain loved the attention, it seemed, and it came as a huge shock to him when they turned on him when he ran against sparklemuffin. They turned on him and savaged him, while McCain desperately tried to make them love him again.

Now, I imagine McCain will find a new resurgence in his popularity with the media, now that Trump is in charge. McCain was a more liberal alternative to President Bush; it will be an even greater contrast now with Trump, as Bush was never as conservative as many of us wanted him to be.

McCain has always been a lousy politician. It was time for him to move over and let a REAL conservative take that seat over ten YEARS ago. Just go away.

DEMS feeling a little disorganized

http://www.politico.com/story/...-donald-trump-232491

Democrats fear they remain woefully unprepared to fight the new president’s agenda.

The party loses its standard-bearer once President Barack Obama leaves office, and the Democratic National Committee won’t get a permanent chairman and staff until March, two months into the presidency. That Democratic power vacuum has raised concerns about the party's ability to provide a united message — or even to stand up a centralized rapid response operation — for the president's first 100 days in office.

Individual elected officials, led by Senators Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Sherrod Brown, have already signaled their intention to put loud and sustained pressure on the president-elect through a series of speeches, statements, TV appearances, op-eds, and on social media. But they are doing so without the benefit of any party-wide communication about a coordinated message behind their Trump barbs — the kind of guidance and direction so recently provided by Obama or Hillary Clinton and her campaign surrogate operation

The DNC's opposition research department has been working overtime since Trump was elected while the communications staff cranks out a nonstop stream of pro-Obama and anti-Trump press releases .

Party officials have also been in touch with Senate and House leadership communications and research teams to work out the plan moving forward, particularly as Trump seeks to confirm his cabinet picks.

But the party was caught flat-footed by Trump’s victory, and there was no detailed contingency plan in the event Hillary Clinton was defeated.

formal announcement made:

Donald Trump announced Monday he will nominate retired general John Kelly to head the Department of Homeland Security

Kelly led the US Southern Command, covering US military operations in Central and South America and the Caribbean, including efforts to stem the flow of illegal drugs across the US southern border and end human trafficking.

“I am humbled and grateful to be nominated to serve in President-elect Trump’s cabinet as Homeland Security Secretary,” Kelly said in the statement issued by the president-elect.

“The American people voted in this election to stop terrorism, take back sovereignty at our borders, and put a stop to political correctness that for too long has dictated our approach to national security.

“I will tackle those issues with a seriousness of purpose and a deep respect for our laws and Constitution. I am honored for the opportunity to be back in the service to our country, and our people.”

Kelly spent 45 years in the US Marines, holding a range of positions from field commands in Iraq to political liaison in Congress before finishing his career as commander of the US armed forces Southern Command.

and, for continued amusement, we have the latest polls:

Shattuck: President-elect’s popularity rising - Americans like what they see so far

Tread carefully around liberals at this year’s non-denominational holiday office party, the polls just added insult to injury.

Donald Trump is getting more popular.

A new Bloomberg poll has his favorability at 50 percent, up a dramatic 17 points since August — and the poll finds 73 percent of Americans don’t mind him switching up his actual policy from his campaign statements. Gallup has him at 42 percent, over last month’s 34 percent. Public Policy Polling gives his favorability at 43 percent, up from 39 percent in September. The polls note he’s still way below many past incoming presidents. But the fact is more Americans like what they see in President-elect Trump.

And why is that?

First off, contrary to the sly insinuations and shrill denunciations of the past year, Trump is not Adolf Hitler. We were repeatedly warned of an impending nationalist disaster that would affect men, women, children and machines in every corner of the world — it was going to be a Y2K of racism, Y2KKK if you will, under greedy, racist, sexist Trump.

But more Americans than ever simply don’t believe the media, and why should they? We’ve been force-fed fake news for years and told to consume it as legitimate. They wanted us to believe the 2012 Benghazi attack was a protest over a YouTube video, not terrorism. They wanted us to think the “Beer Summit” was a brilliant stroke of race-healing, rather than CYA for President Obama. They wanted us to think flying James Taylor to France after a terrorist attack was brilliant foreign policy. They wanted us to think under Obamacare, you could keep your doctor ...

What is real news is that Trump saved jobs in a Carrier factory in Indiana, and he isn’t even president yet. The reaction on networks like CNN was to amass panel after panel of analysts to tell us how bad a deal it was. But Americans have learned to see through it all and they like keeping jobs in the country. In fact, the more the media beats Trump up, the more Americans seem to like him.

When news broke that Trump had called the president of Taiwan, up popped the panels again, using words like “dangerous,” “unprecedented” and “risky.” The truth is that Americans don’t feel that we need permission from the People’s Republic of China to do a damned thing. The days of apologizing are over.

At Saturday’s Army-Navy game, no one took a knee during the national anthem. And both teams cheered the president-elect.

Factory jobs, defiant phone calls with allies and celebrating our military. These are hopeful glimpses of what “Make America Great Again” means. America loves a winner, and it’s showing in the polls.

Heather Wilson being considered for Director of National Intelligence

Per Fox News' Serafin Gomez:

Fox News has learned that former New Mexico congresswoman Heather Wilson is being considered and vetted as a potential candidate for Director of National Intelligence.

(Source: foxnews.com)

... this is a little unexpected, but nonetheless a welcome change ...

Allen West met Donald Trump in Trump Tower Monday morning, but the former Florida congressman gave a cryptic answer when pressed by reporters if he is being considered for a role in the President-elect’s cabinet.

West — a retired Army Lt. Col. — joked with reporters that he had come back to Trump Tower to pick up his umbrella which he’d left “the last time [he] was here,” but would not confirm if he will be formally advising Trump on national security issues.

“We’ll see when I get up there.”

West added that instead of disputing the reports that Russia successfully influenced the 2016 election, Trump needs to “focus on what’s most important. what’s happening with Syria right now. Aleppo is about to fall.”

“I think there are more important things,” he explained. “We’re about to see a collapse in Syria, Iraq is falling apart. The Iran nuclear deal is horrific. China and Russia are expanding.”

“I think that’s where we need to focus our intelligence efforts.”

West dropped one last funny when asked if he is interested in joining the Trump administration.”

“I don’t know. They need a groundskeeper I think in the White House.”

West left Trump Tower just before 11:00 am, EST.
