Same here. I'm sitting here shaking.

I’ve only been to one Presidential rally, GWB back in 2004 in Poplar Bluff MO. My question is, how the hell does someone get a firearm through the gates into the venue? The GWB rally, the security was tight. A little unnerving. Glad he’s ok.

First, let me say I don't subscribe to the "Inevitable Civil War" theory nor do I advocate any sort of societal/governmental change by means of violence.

I will say that the Dems/Media/Progressives/Liberals need to be very, VERY careful how they respond to this. A ham-fisted attempt to spin it or outright denial could very well result in violence.

Exactly my feelings as well. Amazing to see the look on his face when he got up. Unfazed.

They tried character assassination, that didn't work. I was afraid they would try this.

Wilkes-Boothe, Oswald, the Left has never changed.

Thank God Trump appears to be ok.

The Secret Service failed. If the shooter actually knew what he was doing, 1 shot would have been enough. I always assumed that this isn't the first time someone tried to do this and that the SS thwarted any prior attempts without reporting it to avoid any copycats. Now this is in our face. We all know the talking heads who have been calling for this for quite a while now. Does Trump have to die before we start doing anything about it? Food for thought.

CNN article currently reads:

quote:

Former President Donald Trump was injured Saturday after there were loud bangs at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

After the bangs, Trump fell to the ground. He was stood back up by security personnel and had blood on his face. He was yelling back to the crowd and then was whisked away by security personnel.

New York Times says "series of loud pops."
