Actual Collusion? Missouri AG Accuses Biden DOJ Of Coordinating With Trump Prosecutors

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request on Thursday as part of a probe into whether the Biden DOJ coordinated with Trump prosecutors.

"The investigations and subsequent prosecutions of former President Donald J. Trump appear to have been conducted in coordination with the United States Department of Justice," Baily posted in a lengthy thread on X.

"This is demonstrated by the move of the third-highest ranking member of the Department of Justice, Matthew Colangelo, to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in order to prosecute President Trump in December 2022," Baily continues.

What's more, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg worked hand-in-hand with NY Attorney General Letitia James in pursuing civil litigation against Trump, which he used to campaign on.

As Fox News reports further;

Bailey argues that Bragg’s decision to bring the prosecution "despite its transparent weakness has nonetheless had the effect of keeping former President Trump off the campaign trail, which President Biden has bragged about."

He cites a post on X from the official Biden-Harris campaign on April 24, which says, "While Trump is stuck in court, President Biden is keeping a very robust schedule of campaign events. He’s been to Pennsylvania to talk about the economy, Virginia to talk about clean energy, and Florida to talk about abortion."

Baily is seeking all communications, including documents, calendar appointments, meeting minutes and agendas related to Colangelo's move to work in Bragg's office - as well as similar communications between Bragg and NY AG Leticia James and Fulton County DA Fani Willis.

Umm really? This might actually be happening? For crissakes they are actually that far behind the curve that this is just now dawning on them that this is a real thing? What stupid fucking reporting. Things like this are just assumed anymore right?? They are to me anyhow. Talking with a friend earlier today. We spoke about all the congressional hearings over the years where Trey Gowdy, Jim Jordan, Elise Stefanik, and now and again Lindsay Graham would nail someones ass to the wall about lying before congress or falsifying documents or exposing them in some other way. What has ever become of any of it?? Not a damn thing it's all for our consumption.

I think Maria is did a pretty good job of explaining the way people are feeling. All these congress critter do is make noise, then the problem fades away with no solution.

Especially Lindsay Graham with his "we're going to get to the bottom of this" grandstanding TV appearances. We never hear another word about whatever the subject was and we just move on to the next.

Yes, these hearings are prodigious, yet they seem never to yield any tangible results. It's tiresome and I don't believe there is anyone who is paying attention to this ridiculous political theater that believes anything will come of any of it.

Trump Flies Potential VP Pick to Massive 80,000 Person Rally

Former President Donald Trump’s vice president list is picking up speculation after a surprise guest joined the 2024 hopeful at his massive New Jersey rally.

Flying in on the former president’s “Trump Force One” campaign plane, Gov. Doug Burgum (ND) was seen exiting the aircraft after it landed in a deep-blue state Saturday afternoon.

An April Axios report revealed that Burgum has quickly moved up Trump’s vice president shortlist, believing he could be a safe choice who could attract moderate voters.

The governor and his wife reportedly remained on the plane to speak privately with Trump before emerging at the 80,000 MAGA-supporting rally.

Sources close to the matter told the outlet that Burgum and his wife attended Easter Brunch at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, sparking speculation he is at the top of the 45th president’s list.

In recent weeks, the sources said, Trump frequently has brought up Burgum's name in discussions with allies. Two sources familiar with Trump's thinking said he likes Burgum's measured demeanor and his gubernatorial experience — and sees Burgum as reliable and low-drama. Burgum aligns with Trump on many issues, including abortion. In an interview with NPR last fall, Burgum said abortion regulation should be left to the states — a stance that critics say is leading to dramatic differences in women's access to health care. Trump blasted most other Republicans who were challenging him, and held his fire when it came to Burgum, who was barely registering in GOP polls — and reluctant to criticize Trump. Via Axios.

Burgum has been a long-time supporter of Trump’s, quietly campaigning for the former 2024 frontrunner since the 2016 election when he endorsed him for president.

Fueling the rumors further, Trump also said he would give the governor a significant role in his new administration if he were to win the election year.

Hundreds of people camped outside the rally grounds in anticipation of Trump’s appearance in Atlantic City, while thousands of supporters held pre-rally tailgate parties as they awaited the 2024 hopeful to arrive.
