She needs to be taught a lesson.

Perhaps harsh enough that it serves as a warning that we’ve all had enough

She knows exactly what she did and was going to do - she just needed to try to influence the outcome because she’s a democrat hack.

"Nikki New Taxes"

I like it. It sings.

Haley is the new darling of the left. No, it's not a joke. Well, it is a joke, but it's not a joke.

FBI arrests L.A. actor and Republican Party official over alleged involvement in Jan. 6 riot

https://www.latimes.com/califo...ficial-jan-6-capitol

A Los Angeles County Republican Party executive board member was arrested on charges related to entering the U.S. Capitol during the riot on Jan. 6, 2021, according to news reports and party officials.

Siaka Massaquoi, first vice chair of the L.A. County Republican Party, was arrested Thursday by FBI agents at Hollywood Burbank Airport, the agency confirmed. Massaquoi was reportedly returning with his wife from Nashville, where the couple attended the premiere of the Daily Wire’s new film “Lady Ballers,” a controversial comedy mocking transgender athletes, according to Red State, a conservative news media outlet for which Massaquoi is a columnist.

Massaquoi was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges including trespassing, disorderly conduct and parading or demonstrating in a Capitol building, and he was held in jail overnight and released on a $1,000 bond Friday, Red State reported. He appeared in court on Friday, according to FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller.

Real bad dude. Just watch his violent behavior at the Capitol Roll Eyes 3 years later he gets arrested.

The US Supreme Court added a new complication to the prosecution of Donald Trump for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election, as the justices agreed to hear an appeal from a Jan. 6 Capitol riot defendant facing a related charge.

The justices said Wednesday they will decide whether Joseph Fischer can be charged under a 2002 law that grew out of the Enron Corp. collapse for obstructing an official proceeding. Prosecutors have also invoked that law against Trump, as well as in 300 other Capitol riot cases.

Supreme Court involvement could give Trump new grounds for arguing to push back his March 4 federal court trial in Washington until after the 2024 presidential election. Trump is currently the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

Ultimately, a ruling favoring Fischer could upend two of the four counts Trump is facing in the case, one of four criminal prosecutions against him. Under its normal scheduling procedures, the Supreme Court will hear arguments next year and rule by the end of June.

The Supreme Court’s decision to accept the case suggests that at least four justices believe there is a legitimate argument that the obstruction statute does not apply to interfering with the joint session of Congress, according to former federal prosecutor Barbara McQuade.

“It creates some uncertainty for the Trump indictment, which includes two counts that rely on that same legal theory,” McQuade said. “On the other hand, two other counts do not rely on this theory at all, and so the case can and should proceed without regard to this issue.”

But Timothy Parlatore, a criminal defense lawyer who once represented Trump in the Jan. 6 prosecution, said Supreme Court review is “a potential game changer” for the ex-president’s case. If the court rules for Fischer, “it will completely gut the Trump indictment,” he said.

Fischer contends the Justice Department is overstretching a provision in the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley Act that was designed to outlaw the destruction of corporate documents in cases of financial wrongdoing.

The provision authorizes as much as 20 years in prison for a person who corruptly “alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object” with the intent to undermine an official proceeding. A second prong applies to anyone who “otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding.”

A federal judge in Virginia on Friday dismissed a lawsuit aimed at removing former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 primary ballot citing the insurrection clause of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment.

The complaint, filed by activists Roy Perry-Bey and Carlos Howard, alleged that Trump “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the US and should therefore be disqualified from seeking the office he once occupied.

Judge Leonie Brinkema of the Eastern District of Virginia, an appointee of former President Bill Clinton, found that the plaintiffs lacked standing to sue to get Trump, 77, off the state’s primary ballot.

“At least five additional federal courts have concluded that citizens attempting to disqualify individuals — including former President Trump — from participating in elections or from holding public office based on the January 6, 2021 attack on the United States Capitol lacked standing,” Brinkema wrote in her 13-page ruling.
“Plaintiffs have totally failed to demonstrate how their alleged injuries are traceable to the conduct of defendants,” the judge added.

I am trying my best to not do any "hand wringing" over the next few months, but articles like the following do elevate my anxiety level quite a bit! It makes the exact case that I have been talking to my wife about for months now... and when the CIA and FBI are involved, there's not a damned thing voters can do about it, short of all-out war against the .gov!

What was the word you used to describe him? "Vile" I think it was... yes, that describes him quite well. He just needs to disappear into the weeds somewhere and live out the remainder of his miserable existence in isolation!

Tom Emmer joins entire GOP leadership in endorsing Trump

“The entire House Republican leadership team has now endorsed Donald Trump after House Majority Whip Tom Emmer joined colleagues in backing the former president  who helped sink his own bid to for the speakership.

Emmer's announcement came a day after House Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Louisiana gave his own nod to Trump, and days before the Iowa caucuses kick off the 2024 election process.

'Democrats have made clear they will use every tool in their arsenal to try and keep Joe Biden and his failed policies in power. We cannot let them. It’s time for Republicans to unite behind our party’s clear frontrunner, which is why I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President,' Emmer posted on X.

His statement of unflinching support came despite Trump torpedoing his own bid to move up the later during the chaotic effort to find a new speaker after the removal of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy – who has also endorsed Trump. …”

14 Potential Running Mates for Trump, Including 2 Wildcards

Political chatter is shifting to a new topic amid President Trump’s dominance as the GOP frontrunner: Who will be his running mate?

As former President Donald Trump’s polling lead over his Republican rivals has come to look insurmountable, more than 40 names have bubbled up in speculation about his pick for vice president in the 2024 election.

“People are talking about Trump VP picks because they recognize the primary is over and has been for quite some time,” Jason Meister, a New York-based adviser to the former president, told The Epoch Times. “Trump is polling stronger than he did in 2016 and 2020. He’s surging with blacks, independents, and younger Americans.”

Nearly 63 percent of would-be voters say they favor President Trump as the GOP presidential nominee, according to the latest RealClearPolitics polling average.
That compares with about 11 percent support each for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor who served as President Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations.

President Trump’s dominance in the polls has persisted in spite of—or, some say, because of—the “lawfare” being waged against him. The former president faces 91 criminal charges that threaten his freedom, civil cases aimed at his financial empire, and state-level efforts to boot him from 2024 ballots.

Arguably, these precarious circumstances make it even more important to wisely choose a running mate, since a vice president must be prepared to step in if the president cannot, for some reason, fulfill his duties.

Even if the vice president doesn’t assume the role of president, the position often serves as a steppingstone to the presidency.

Among the past 10 presidents, four previously served as vice president, including the incumbent, Democrat President Joe Biden.

Shopping for the ideal vice president requires consideration of many variables. That person should possess political clout and experience and must embrace the presidential candidate’s proposed policies. He or she also should be capable of drawing more supporters into the fold.

Exclusive — Donald Trump: Who Gets Vice Presidential Nod ‘Has Never Made a Difference’ in Election Outcome

PALM BEACH, Florida — Former President Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner for president in 2024, told Breitbart News exclusively during a two-hour-plus interview at Mar-a-Lago last week that the person who gets the nod for vice president will not make much difference in the grand scheme of things regarding winning the election.

“If you study the history of presidential runs, a vice president has never made a difference—which is surprising,” Trump said. “It’s a one-night story, and then they’re back to a regular evening. They’re voting for the president. They’re not voting for the vice president. There has, not that I can think of, never been a vice president that’s made much of a difference in terms of nomination and in terms of even winning the election.”

Trump Beating Haley by 29 Points in Her Own State of South Carolina

By Cassandra MacDonald
Jan. 5, 2024 11:00 am

Former President Donald Trump is beating former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley by 29 points in her own state.
The devastating news for Haley came in an Emerson College poll released Friday.

The pollsters found that Trump leads Haley 54 percent to 25 percent in the state.

The survey additionally found that seven percent of Republican Primary voters support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, 5 percent support former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and 3 percent support Vivek Ramaswamy.

Six percent remain “undecided.”

“The current state of the race in South Carolina finds Trump as the frontrunner with Haley as his main opponent. DeSantis has seen a decline in support, and similar to our New Hampshire poll has faded into the pack with single-digit support” Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling, said. “A key question arising from this poll is whether Haley can mobilize ample support in her home state before the primary, in the case the race becomes more competitive after New Hampshire.”

The pollsters found:

* Haley has an edge among voters who affiliate as independents 37% to 33%, but trails nearly 3:1 among those who affiliate as Republicans 62% to 21%.”

* Among voters who are “very likely” to vote, Trump leads Haley 57% to 24%, but among “somewhat likely” voters, the vote tightens to 34% for Trump and 31% for Haley.

* Haley holds the same level of support from men and women voters, at 25% respectively.

* Trump leads Haley among all age groups.

* Haley performs stronger among voters with postgraduate degrees: these voters split between Haley at 40% and Trump at 39%.

“Haley currently earns the support of a plurality of Christie voters, 44%, as their second choice for the nomination, but others split their vote between the top candidates,” Matt Taglia, Senior Director at Emerson College Polling, said in their report. “With limited undecided voters, a path for Haley in South Carolina could depend on converting some of these first and second choices.”

Trump slammed the neoconservative presidential candidate as “the enemy of the working class” last Friday.

The former president also gave Haley a new nickname — “Nikki New Taxes.”

In a press release titled “KISS OF DEATH: Nikki New Taxes,” the campaign warned that Haley “pushed for a WHOPPING 60% increase in the state gas tax in South Carolina after promising voters she would never do so.”

“She also voted for an unconscionable 20% increase in the state sales tax, making her the enemy of the working-class and an ally of lobbyist cronies taking advantage of impressionable politicians looking for their approval,” the campaign continued.

The press release explained, “Nikki Haley’s shameful record as governor has now been exposed, and voters are witnessing who she really is: a tax wielding politician who is more interested in doing the bidding of her puppetmasters instead of doing what’s right for the American people.”

“To make matters worse, she has promoted entitlement reform, RINO talk for ripping away Medicare and Social Security and increasing the retirement age,” the press release concluded. “How much longer do you want to force people to slave away just so they can earn what they have been promised, Nikki?”

Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung added, “The truth is finally coming out about Nikki Haley’s troublesome record showing her total disdain for the working-class and a willingness to sellout to lobbyist parasites.”

In 2019, Haley was elected to Boeing’s board of directors months after leaving her post in the Trump administration.

Soon after, the former UN ambassador purchased a $2.4 million waterfront estate on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

“Post her tenure, reports surfaced that Haley boosted her fortune eight-fold — to $8 million — after leaving the Trump administration,” the New York Post reported at the time.

The report added, “Haley had a net worth of less than $1 million when she surprisingly called it quits in 2018.”

The Emerson College Polling South Carolina survey was conducted January 2-3, 2024, and has a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.
