Can he effectively clean house at the DOJ, and go after its employees that subverted the law. Thats all that matters. Trump has had many years to think about what he was going to do, and to contemplate the lessons of his first Presidency. Hes not just pulling these names out of a hat. I trust him to take care of business. On Joe Rogan he talked about Rex Tillerson being a real dissapointment and how that was 100% his pick. On the other hand you had people like Barr who he never liked or trusted, but tried to appease the party with picks like that. Mattis did something I can somewhat respect. Instead of trying to undermine Trump like most others, he just said “sir, I dont agree with you, nor can I effectively support you, so I will step aside and let you hire someone who can.” He didnt stay in that job backstabbing him like Barr and many others did at the end.

I love the Gaetz pick for AG. Remember he floated legislation to abolish ATF due to its corruption and constant flip flopping that endangered American gun owners. As AG he would serve at a level 2 levels higher than the director of ATF. In other words, ATF would have to do what Gaetz orders. That is awesome, spectacular in fact. Gaetz may be the best chance there is for a house cleaning that ATF desperately needs.

I live in Gaetz’ district and have followed his alleged issues carefully. I am just upset I will lose him as my congressman.

The Biden DOJ investigated him up the azz and found nothing. So you really think if there was a hint of anything they would have hung him ? Few people in DC are hated more by the outgoing administration. If they could have crucified him they would have. He and his wealthy family was being blackmailed. They couldn’t even get him for old parking tickets.

Are you tired of the winning yet ?

Although his father has been politically connected in Florida for years, Gaetz has quite a reputation for chasing younger women. I believe an ethics investigation remains underway. There are better candidates without the baggage.

I am not going to second guess any of DJT’s choices. The past 8 years have made it clear the left cannot be compromised with and it is pointless to try.

FJB talked about “unity”, the left continually calls for “tolerance” and yet are the most intolerant of anyone who disagrees or has a differing opinion.

In truth, I just want crime to go down, be able to afford life, people to only enter this country legally, not have my grand children and great grandchildren shoulder the cost of policing the world, and generally be left alone by the smallest amount of government necessary.


After 8 years of being undermined and degraded, I think it is time to to stand up and do the RIGHT thing and damn those who stand in the way.

We will see if Gaetz gets confirmed. Besides the ethics investigation there are a lot of Republicans that dislike him intensely. He is certainly a firebrand and a strong Trump supporter.

As I posted a few pages back, this is Trump's Republican Party unlike 2016. The people have voted for MAGA and they don't want to fuck around. Yes, Musk has said that all actions of DOGE will be transparent and done in the public eye and welcomes feedback from those who might object to any of the actions of DOGE. I wonder if he realizes that the leftists will bitch nonstop about any and everything done by DOGE. But, that being the case, their commentary will be buried by itself.

Were these "Republicans" elected to office to make decisions based on who they like or dislike? Or were they elected to represent their constituents, who just re-elected Trump and gave him the majority of both houses?
