It's possible Hegseth and Gaetz are both decoy or dummy candidates. So extreme that both are sure to be rejected. This will then ensure an easier confirmation to get the two eventual candidates Trump really wanted. | |||

Matt Gaetz as Attorney General is as effective a pick as Tom Homan as the Border Czar. Both men will be absolute bulldogs in their jobs. Gabbard will be effective as Director of DNI. The idea that Trump tapped Rubio as SOS in order to get him out of the Senate and allow DeSantis to replace him with someone more conservative reconciles the questioning of his choice. If this is in fact the case, it demonstrates a level of savvy which was not present in the President Trump of his first term. And now, what for RFK? Gaetz has got some real skeletons in his closet but seems to get by. His father has political connections in Florida. His so called "wingman" is locked up for chasing underage girls. A woman who knows Gaetz was asked if she would date him. Her reply was that she had higher standards. He was responsible for getting McCarthy out of his job as Speaker. | |||
