SUSAN CRABTREE – “During a Donald Trump visit to North Carolina yesterday, a woman Secret Service special agent abandoned her post to breastfeed with no permission/warning to the event site agent, according to three sources in the Secret Service community. Shortly before Trump’s motorcade arrival — I’m told five minutes beforehand — the site agent was getting ready for the arrival. (The site agent is the person in charge of the entire event’s security.) The site agent went to do one final sweep of the walking route and found the agent breast-feeding her child in a room that is supposed to be set aside for important Secret Service official work, i.e. a potential emergency related to the president. A working agent on duty cannot bring a child to a protective assignment. The woman was out of the Atlanta Field Office. The woman agent was in the room with two other family members. The agent and her family members bypassed the Uniformed Division checkpoint and were escorted by an unpinned event staff into the room to breastfeed, the sources said. Unpinned means they have not been cleared by the Secret Service to be there. When contacted about the incident, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the incident did not have an impact on the event. and it’s under review. “All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards,” he said. “While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.” This example happened quite literally as Secret Service Dir. Police Identify Suspect Behind Burglary at Trump’s Virginia Campaign Office The suspect, Toby Shane Kessler, has a “history of criminal behavior,” police said. Police in Virginia have identified the man suspected of burglarizing a Trump for President 2024 campaign office in Ashburn on the evening of Aug. 11. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) identified the individual as 39-year-old Toby Shane Kessler and said it had secured a warrant for his arrest on one charge of burglary in connection with a break-in at the office roughly 30 miles from downtown Washington. Kessler has no fixed address and a “history of criminal behavior,” police said in an Aug. 14 press release. He appears to have been in the Washington Metropolitan Area at least since 2018 but has a California driver’s license, they said. The building that houses the Trump campaign office, located in the 20000 block of Ashbrook Place, also serves as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee. The burglary took place at approximately 8:11 pm and was captured by surveillance cameras inside the office. I live in South Jersey which is in the Philadelphia PA media market. Since PA is a critical toss up state for the election, I am getting carpet bombed with political ads. Last night was a record. In one commercial break there were literally eight political commercials in a row. Four were pro Harris. Four were pro Trump. I don't know if the TV station did it on purpose. But they alternated Trump, Harris. No Harris or Trump commercials in a row. Just one after another alternating for the entire commercial break. This is getting tiresome. | |||
