Two committees want to talk to Combetta

http://thehill.com/policy/nati...s-after-reddit-posts

The House Science Committee is demanding interviews this week with employees of the IT firm that managed Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

Science Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) had originally demanded transcribed interviews with seven Platte River Networks employees in July, but has been rebuffed.
But Wednesday reports that Reddit users have uncovered a post by Combetta asking how to modify certain emails for a “VERY VIP” client have led Smith to demand the interviews be scheduled by Friday of this week.

“If true, these details raise new questions as to whether Platte River Networks purposefully defied legal document retention requirements. Further, it is unclear if the Federal Bureau of Investigation was aware of these facts at the time of their investigation,” Smith wrote in a letter sent Wednesday.

“Additionally, I am concerned that Mr. Combetta may have made an attempt to delete relevant posts, including the post mentioned above, from his Reddit.com username just hours after reports initially surfaced on September 19, 2016, about his request for assistance on deleting email addresses from archived emails,” Smith wrote.

Smith threatened to issue a subpoena if the interviews with Combetta and Thornton are not scheduled by noon on Friday.

The House Oversight Committee is reviewing a Reddit post that alleges an IT specialist who worked on Hillary Clinton’s private server sought advice on how to alter the contents of “VERY VIP” emails, according to Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.).

Meadows is the chairman of the panel’s Government Operations subcommittee.

“The Reddit post issue and its connection to Paul Combetta is currently being reviewed by OGR staff and evaluations are being made as to the authenticity of the post,” Meadows told The Hill.

Combetta is currently one of the targets of a broader Oversight investigation on whether Clinton ordered the destruction of emails that had been subpoenaed by the Benghazi Select Committee.

“If it is determined that the request to change email addresses was made by someone so closely aligned with the Secretary's IT operation as Mr. Combetta, then it will certainly prompt additional inquiry,” Meadows told The Hill. “The date of the Reddit post in relationship to the establishment of the Select Committee on Benghazi is also troubling.”

Wasn't he already subpoenaed once and failed to show and when he finally did plead the 5th to everything despite his immunity deal?
What will make this any different?

It probably won’t make a bit of difference to the FBI. (sadly)

But this story shows that Combetta was trying to change email addresses so the VIP was not identified. Right at the time they were preparing the package of Clinton emails to send to the State Dept.

The direction to do so came from someone on Clinton’s staff.

This is indeed smoking gun. (But so was deleting the emails when Combetta knew there was an active subpoena)

Questions that haven’t been addressed yet: Did Combetta figure out how to do it ? Were any emails submitted to State doctored ?

If this had been known a few weeks ago, it would have destroyed Comey’s testimony to Congress. The more this topic stays in the public eye, and the more criminal the acts that are revealed, the worse it is for Clinton. And for Comey.

There are still many undecided voters. As this keeps playing out, it may even influence patriotic Democrats who become convinced that Clinton is indeed a lying crook.

It makes the FBI look bad and emphasizes to everyone how poorly the FBI email investigation was conducted.

I hope Trump is elected, and one of the things that is done is that the email issue is revisited. I would like to see multiple people at Platte River get prosecuted along with top Clinton aides. (I expect that Clinton herself will never get prosecuted no matter what comes out)

These scumbags at Platte River lied for over a year when they could have blown this thing wide open if they had told the truth in the summer of 2015.

Platte River site:
“Since 2002, Platte River Networks has been serving our clients with honesty, integrity and exceptional customer service”

Maybe some revenge is the best we can get.

Maybe the deleted e-mails had to do with medical problems, not yoga routines and wedding plans, which nobody believed.

If she came out and admitted that they all were medical problem discussions, nobody would believe her now anyway, just like in Aesop's Fable!

But as long as no one is indicted or arrested, or in jail, it is meaningless to many/most libs. They rebuff anything with, "well no one was prosecuted so it's just right wing politics", which is a formidable defense. I am not holding my breath that anything will get traction before the elections. After all, they get requests for documents and information and the Dems and their toadys just procrastinate with no penalty.

It's hard to get some one indicted when they have the Sheriff in their pocket.

I don't know what the rules are at that strip mall, but most of the ones I know about reserve the parking spaces immediately in front of a business for use by customers of that business only. And there may be some number of general parking spaces also reserved for each business. Gunshine Arms should immediately post signs at the spaces in front of their place saying parking is for their customers only and others will be towed. (Since it's a gun store, maybe they should say their tires will be shot. Just kidding.)

I've spoken with two contractors that claimed to have the exact same security clearance as "The Hill "

and both stated that if they had done the exact same thing that Hill did, (as reported to the public anyway )

They would have been fired on the spot, stripped from ever working under a security clearance and gone through 5 months or more worth of N.S.A. legal b.s. at great legal expense, and most likely , some jail time.

Even though it is InfoWars, this is actually a very interesting video, showing the inner workings of a Hillary campaign event from a couple of days ago (the one where she needed help up the stairs). Some very interesting details. It is worth a view.

Washington Examiner

9/27/16

Behind closed doors, Clinton's legal team hammered out a deal, announced by conservative-leaning Judicial Watch on Wednesday, to postpone a court-ordered deadline for fresh testimony about her private email server.

Written responses to Judicial Watch's questionnaire would have been due three days after the first presidential debate; they will now emerge just three weeks before the election.

Amid backlash Thursday over a Politico report that revealed the lavish details of an upcoming birthday party for Clinton's husband, the president of the Clinton Foundation — which hosted the fete — pledged to disclose the event sponsors.

Hours later, a spokesman for the foundation backtracked by admitting the charity has no plans to release the identities of donors who paid for the party.

And on Tuesday, two employees of technology firms that managed Clinton's email server invoked their Fifth Amendment rights and refused to answer questions at a congressional hearing. A third witness, former Clinton aide Bryan Pagliano, ignored a subpoena to appear and rebuffed an order to provide a copy of the immunity agreement he received during the year-long FBI probe of Clinton's server.

The weeks of secrecy have begun to take a toll on Clinton's numbers.

From its double-digit peak in late July and early August, Clinton's national lead has shrunk to just 1.5 points, according to the RealClearPolitics average.

Trump has shown gains in Ohio, Florida, Michigan and Iowa and padded his support among independent voters as Clinton disappeared from the trail.

Before a collapse last week at a Sept. 11 ceremony sidelined the Democratic nominee for days, Clinton had spent much of late August out of the spotlight while raising money for the final leg of the presidential race.

Her absence from the campaign trail coincided with the FBI's decision to release 58 pages of notes from its criminal investigation of her private email use.

The scathing report — which revealed Clinton's professed ignorance of the rules governing classified information, among other things — raised new questions about the FBI's decision to spare her from charges.

And while Clinton finally caved under pressure to hold a press conference after refusing to do so for nine months, her initial attempt to face reporters was cut short by a then-unexplained coughing fit on Labor Day.

Meanwhile, Trump and his allies have ramped up their media and campaign appearances in an effort to regain control of the political narrative following what critics characterized as a disastrous few weeks post-convention.

Despite Trump's refusal to release his tax returns, more voters view him as transparent than his opponent. Fifty-four percent of voters described him as transparent in a recent Quinnipiac University survey, while just 37 percent of respondents held the same view of Clinton.

She has told so many lies and has so many proverbial skeletons in her closet, that it would make sense to try to remove her email from the to/from fields in the manner Combetta was inquiring about.

Stripping her email from the sender/recipient fields would have prevented nearly all of her emails from being produced during searching, unless they were brought in by another data source.

She could also have been worried about scandals and shady dealings that the public is not even aware of at present.

Cheryl Mills given immunity deal in Clinton email server probe
By Daniel Halper September 23, 2016 | 11:29am

The FBI gave immunity to Hillary Clinton’s former State Department chief of staff Cheryl Mills and two other staffers, according to a member of Congress.

The Associated Press reports the immunity deals were granted in conjunction with the FBI’s now-closed investigation into Clinton’s private email server.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, who has been looking into the FBI’s investigation of Clinton, said federal investigators were given access to Mills’ computer but only on the condition that the FBI’s findings could not used against her, the AP reports.

“No wonder they couldn’t prosecute a case. They were handing out immunity deals like candy,” Chaffetz said.

He said the others granted immunity were John Bentel, then-director of the State Department’s Office of Information Resources Management, and Clinton aide Heather Samuelson.

Two other people were previously identified as receiving immunity deals.

FBI Director James Comey said in July that the agency determined Clinton was “extremely careless” in handling classified information, but recommended against bringing charges against her.

wow.

Comey didn't mention that did he?

Combetta, Cheryl Mills, and Heather Samuelson were central in selecting and deleting the emials. And the FBI gave them immunity.

Who was left to prosecute ?

John Bentel was the State Dept person who reportedly said not to bring up the Clinton email subject ever again to State Dept employees. As I recall, he denied saying that in his FBI interview.
