Don’t forget that it’s the MSM/Democrat machine that seems to be pushing this notion that Trump and DeSantis HAAAAAAATE each other and will go head to head in 2024. They’d be absolutely delighted to see the Republican Party split right in half. Roll Eyes

This next story is deliciously ironic. RedState ran an article yesterday headlined, “Ron DeSantis Executes Troll for the Ages at Presser on ‘Book Banning’.”

Indeed.

Recently, democrats have claimed that Governor DeSantis is deliberately “banning” completely innocent books for purely political reasons — and worse, to “erase” gay people, whatever that means. Democrats and aligned reporters have repeatedly assured the public that there is no “secret agenda” in public schools to groom or sexualize kids, and anyway there is “no evidence” that anybody is grooming anyone.

So yesterday, the Governor held a press conference to push back against the leftist claims that DeSantis is “banning books.” And during the presser, the Governor’s team played a hair-raising video showing examples from the books that are mercifully now being removed from Florida schools.

Ironically, the material from the public schools’ books was SO pornographic that news broadcasts were forced to cut their feeds in a panic. In fact, the entire press conference livestream has been flagged as “potentially sensitive content.”

The Governor was like, You wanted evidence? Here’s your evidence, dummies.

To give you just one example, the Governor’s video included a kids’ book titled, “Flamer,” which his team found in schools in Broward, Collier, Hillsborough, Marion, Seminole, and Volusia Counties. In the heavily-illustrated book, a group of nubile young boys attend a camp and visit a penis-shaped island. The story includes a goofy shower scene between the group of boys where one of them gets an erection much to everyone’s amusement. Another part of the book shows a young boy excitedly watching porn. In another section, a group of boys masturbate together and are pressured by the group to ejaculate into a bottle.

It’s bad. A penis island? Is it just me and my tinfoil hat, or is that directly evocative of Epstein Island? Yeah. It’s SUPER gross. And that was just ONE of the books the democrats want to keep in Florida’s public schools.

DeSantis explained, “I just think parents, when they’re sending their kids to school, they should not have to worry about this garbage being in the schools.” Too true. The Governor continued, “They should just know that you’re going to get a good education, we’re going to do well to really do the basics and have our kids succeed. That’s what they want. They don’t want the garbage.”

Imagine that. Parents, thinking their kids are learning about math and science instead of Adventures on Penis Island. Governor DeSantis is showing how you beat the corporate media at its own game.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Absolute genius, if DeSantis and his team anticipated the two minute blackout you will see beginning at the 20:48 mark of this video.

For leftist denials of feeding this kind of trash to children, this is a blueprint technique in dealing with these shameless liars.

The TV station didn't anticipate this, as evidenced by the fact that they first froze the feed, and then put up a test pattern! The freeze begins before the pornographic material is shown because in 2023, there really is very little in the way of truly live broadcasts. There is almost always a thirty second or one minute delay between live and broadcast.

Outstanding

I'm really glad we have DeSantis. I would really like 4 more years of Trump but its great that we have someone that can step up when Trump is through.

Trump and DeSantis are good, but the candidate that will come along after them now that conservatives are engaged will be greater. I'm talking about the guy that wants to shutter the 3 letter orgs and drain the swamp. The guy that puts the American family back together. I honestly think that guy is up and coming somewhere and being guided by conservatives that are becoming engaged rather than wanting to be left alone. I honestly think the MAGA movement is building from grassroots local government and will reach the federal level in my lifetime.

PS, get involved locally even if you are in a blue area. Great way is to become a precinct committeeman. Attend a GOP meeting once in a while and speak up. Same goes for PTA meetings.

“Ron DeSantis on Thursday teased that Disney may not have gotten the last laugh in their bitter battle over a board the Florida governor put in place to control the theme park giant.

'There's a lot of little back-and-forths going on now with the state taking control, but rest assured, you know, you ain't seen nothing yet,' DeSantis told a crowd in Smyrna, Georgia, where he is on a book tour. 'There's more to come in that regard.'

Disney used an obscure legal clause that name checks King Charles III to strip DeSantis' oversight board of its power.

And his office indicated Disney's argument was full of legal loopholes of its own.

This is further evidence that DeSantis needs to remain right where he is and not bother with a presidential run until 2028. He is highly effective in his current position and that's putting it lightly.

I despise Disney Corporation, and that, too, is putting it lightly.

DeSantis will move to nullify Disney deal that stripped his power

“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will escalate his war against the Walt Disney Company on Monday when he announces tough new measures that will keep the theme park from living happily ever after.

The Republican governor will announce the state Legislature will void Disney's legal maneuvering that effectively stripped DeSantis' new oversight board of authority over the company.

'The legislature is able to come in and nullify these agreements under these circumstances,' DeSantis told the radio show Good Morning Orlando on Monday.

'We are actually going to run a bill during this legislative session that is going to formally nullifying what is needed, and make sure that people understand that you don't get to put your own company over the will of the people of Florida.'

He will fire his latest shot in Disney's home town. He'll make the formal announcement later Monday in Lake Buena Vista, the city where Disney World resides. …”

Judge recuses himself in DeSantis v Disney case
A win for us!

“A federal judge has recused himself in a case Walt Disney World brought against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last month — but not before accusing the Republican presidential nominee of 'rank judge shopping.'

In an ruling late Thursday night, Judge Mark E. Walker, the chief judge for the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida, said he would no longer preside over the politically-contentious case.

He denied that the move was related to lawyers for the Florida governor seeking to disqualify him from the case due to remarks he made last year about DeSantis' actions against Disney.

Instead, Walker claimed that he made the decision to step away from the case after he found out that one of his relatives owns stock in the Hollywood giant. [30 shares – bogus reason] The judge went on to call DeSantis' team's legal objections 'judge shopping.'
……
Lawyers for the Republican governor have argued that Walker's remarks last year in unrelated cases, which were made as he was posing hypothetical questions, 'could reasonably be understood to reflect that the court has prejudged Disney's retaliation theory here, and therefore create significant doubts about the court's impartiality.'
……
The case has been reassigned to Judge Allen C. Winsor, who was appointed to the court under former President Trump, according to the New York Times.  …”

Disney drops lawsuits against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

“Disney agreed to drop its lawsuits against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a major win for the new board overseeing the land encompassing Walt Disney World Resorts.

The settlement agreement on Wednesday includes Disney acknowledging eleventh hour deals it made with the outgoing Reedy Creek Improvement District are now null and void.

Walt Disney Co. made these last-ditch efforts in an attempt to solidify property rights and grant the theme park additional powers as DeSantis appointed a new board to oversee the area and hold the corporation accountable to laws and taxes in Orlando.

DeSantis' war with Disney really ramped up after then-CEO Bob Chapek publicly spoke out against the governor's policies regarding education and specifically the teaching of gender identity and sexual orientation to minors, which critics dubbed the 'don't say gay law.'

'No corporation should be its own government,' DeSantis' Communications Director Bryan Griffin said in a statement on Wednesday's development. …”
