The day I took my 23 year old son to Hollywood Studios for his birthday. He is a Star Wars nut and he wanted to build his own Lightsaber. I look at the picture of him holding it and smiling all the time. There is nothing I can think of more valuable than time with your adult children.

And if I win the karma, I will proudly take him to the range and we will shoot it together the first time.

Do, Or do not. There is no try.

Tank you this is very kind. My wedding day in 1991 would have to be on the top of my list. Best decision I have ever made.

The day I looked across the altar at my fiancé as she became my wife. There’s never been another like it. Frankly, I was relieved when I saw that she actually showed up. It’s been a journey so far. If I’m ever alive without her, I won’t remarry.

Thank you for the chance Q. My special day to choose is March 8 of this year when my middle daughter got married. She really got a super sharp young man. Mrs. BB61 and I are extremely happy for both of them.

Thank you once again for the kind Karma’s.

Please add my name. Thanks for this opportunity. I have been very blessed, and this is probably the foundation / special day that started a lot of it: My wedding day in 1991. So we have two (2) wonderful sons and now two (2) grandsons.

Now and Zen

Back in 2018 I authored a thread titled 'Drowning in debt', here's what parabellum had to say about it. "Aside from advice, what can we do to help? Fourteen years in this forum counts for something. A dedication to bring weekly to this forum- week in, week out, year in, year out- a moment of zen, counts for something. We can help. We've done it before. clubleaf is not asking and he would never ask, so I am asking. A fundraiser is called for. We have people in this forum who take the bull by the horns. Now's the time."

And many of the members did just that. I have never forgotten the generosity of those who helped out, truly a humbling experience and a "Special Day"

And thank you, Q for yet another of one of your numerous karmas you have done over the years.

Coming up in about a month... the day my second son was born, is such a fun day to look back on. It was his due date in 2017. No sign of contractions or anything yet and our friends were having their annual crawfish boil... big party that we've attended for years with many of our best friends. So my wife was fine with me going for awhile. I had been there for awhile when one of our friends walked up to me, elbow deep in mud bugs, and said my wife had been trying to call me... Oh No! I call her back and she says she thinks it's happening but not panic or anything. I head home, pick her and our oldest up, drop him off at in-laws thinking that we have plenty of time bc contractions are not all that close. Well, 20 minutes later we get to the hospital and they've gotten a lot closer. We get in the room, there's no time for an epidural and the doctor barely makes it in time and delivers the baby in her street clothes and a white coat, a mere 45 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Crazy time that we celebrate at the crawfish boil every year now.

Thanks for the offer Q.

September 1997. That was when my life changed. My mom sponsored me for my U.S. green card. My approval came that year. I was given an opportunity to have a better life. Thankful for each day that I am here.

Thanks for the nice Karma. This is so hard to pick a special day. Obvious ones are the day I got married, and the day my son was born which is common in this thread and are very important to most everyone.

For this, however, I would like to actually share two special days that happen each year. One day in the spring and one day in the fall. Twice I year, I participate in Honor Flight. We accompany a group of Veterans from Richmond to Washington DC to tour The Marine Corp Museum in Quantico, visit the WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War memorials and watch the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington. It's a great mission and I love seeing and hearing the stories of the Veterans and watching their excitement seeing the different sights. I provide EMS services for these missions and it's very rewarding. Our next trip is April 26th.

My special day is when I married my bride, 34 years ago this coming weekend! The marriage has been far from perfect, but I would do it all over again.

Thanks for the chance, Q!

I would just like to thank Q for his generosity. I am not entering the Karma, having won a previous Karma for my Navy daughter.

Here she is, on her "Special Day":

Thanks, Q !

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
