Oct 28, 2014- the day my stroke showed up, unknowingly I had a torn carotid artery for about a week that had presented as a TIA, but we missed it because someone took a few shots at my partner and I while on duty. That adrenaline dump had pushed the clot and I was back to normal speech. So on the 28th while back on duty, it showed up again-this time a new partner and no gunshots and she recognized I was in trouble. She called me an ambulance and I got a trip to the ER-where the doc missed it. Yay.

After a day of suffering my primary doc got me a mri and they found the dead spot in my brain.

I survived it somehow and can talk again and don’t have obvious symptoms. So October 28, 2014 is my special day.

Thanks for the chance Q

My special day was nearly twenty years ago when I bought a cpo P228 in like new condition. It kicked off my appreciation of the P228. My really sad day came when I foolishly sold it a few years later.

First of all, another awesome karma, and thanks for the chance to enter! My most recent “Special Day” will be occurring Friday, April 11th. That will be my last day of full time employment. After working since I was 13-14, and having spent the last 35 or so years in the transportation industry I’m happy to say I’ve made it! Just about….

Sept. 14, 1985, the day my wife said I Do and we were married.

There are many other special days, but this one is probably my best special day.

Thank you for your generosity and your Special Karma’s

Seems like a bit of a theme but 3/26/88, when I married my sweetheart. We were young (I was 18 and she was 19) and a lot of people thought we were making a mistake but we just celebrated 37 years. We’ve been together as a couple since I was 16 and have known each other since the 5th grade.

She’s blessed me with four beautiful daughters, three granddaughters and a grandson, and there’s one more on the way in September.

March 24th, 2025. Yep, last week. My daughter is 22 and just finishing college and I paid off her car on the 24th. I bought her a new car when she graduated high school. She said she was thankful for everything and she went and bought her little brother who is about to graduate high school this summer a new car. She saved what I was paying for her car every month and used that to buy him a car. Proud dad moment. If selected for the karma, the gun would go to her.

I have been blessed to have many great/special days. Having my children accept Christ as their Savior is one of the best day(s) you can have. Which brings me to the one day I am truly grateful and is the day Jesus died for sin once for all, 1 Peter 3:18.

March 30, 1979.

That's the day that I walked away (actually crawled away) from a crashed Huey at Ft. Bragg, NC.

4 others weren't so lucky. Frown

Not sure why I wasn't taken that day; logically, I shouldn't have survived it.
Every day since then has been a bonus in my mind.

June 11, 2019.

My wife was declared cancer free after her 2nd bout of skin cancer (well a mass under the skin, 1st time around 4 years earlier is was a mole that turned to cancer). She underwent surgery and treatment with a new drug (not chemo).

April 17th (2025) will be our 26th wedding anniversary.

Thanks for the chance.

I am old; don't remember much. Do recall coming into Puget Sound on April 15, 1959, after two years of Korea and Okinawa. Got wonderful fresh food and treated great at Ft. Lewis, Washington.

Special day is anniversary Aug 79, and birthday of my son, May 81. Married 46 years this year.
Having never held or fired an Sig, receiving one could be a special day if I was lucky enough to win this karma.
Thanks for the opportunity!

I'd like to be included please, and thank you for the opportunity. It would be my first Sig

Mom lost her driver's licence as she was 8 months into dementia .

I made the 70 mile drive up to see her , it was a great day in June in eastern Iowa.

We sat by her flower/ vegetable garden .

I asked her if she could forgive me for any of the trouble I caused her growing up.

She said " I forgave you for anything and everything long ago.
And
She said do you know why ?

I was so relieved that I couldn't answer her as to why.

She told me that I was the only one in the family that supportive when she decided to quit smoking and gave her positive reinforcement.
( I was 13 )
And
I was the only family member who was positive and supportive when she went to get her G.E.D. at age 40.
Then
She said I was the only member of the family that encouraged her to get her driver's license, ( I was 14 ).

I was 27 y.o. that day in her back yard , and never had a clue that something that I did had meant that much to her.

She's been gone 14 years,
