As of this morning, my first three grandchildren are all in school. Ranging from pre school to second grade.

Small world. Med-school or pre-med? If pre-med, our students might bump into each other. My son decided to add some classes to have the med-school prerequisites as a backup.

Nice!

Back to the thread:

Today, my youngest son went fishing with a kid he met at their new school. They left with the 2 dz shrimp we bought and came back with 4 dz shrimp. I like to think I’m pretty good at math, but that was a puzzler for me. Turns out they were fishing around the boat ramp and a couple different guys pulling their boats out gave my son and his friend their extra shrimp.

I like september now, but for most of my life I hated everything about it. Memories and apparently actual trauma make it difficult to fully embrace it.

I like September for the warm days and cool evenings. I'm okay with October, too, but by the time Halloween gets here (big fun in our neighborhood), we're covered up in the holiday rigamarole and Fall ceases to be fun. And then it turns to winter. Yuck. (I don't like being cold.)

God bless America.

I got an email that said “Free Turkey Cannon.” I immediately figured like a pumpkin cannon. Sadly, this was not the case.

Congratulations! The white coat ceremony is an important and memorable step in the journey.

My daughter has finished medical school, her residency, and a fellowship and, as of August, is now a board-certified practicing physician. She got married recently and included at least one friend from high school, college, medical school, and residency among her bridesmaids. We met one of the girls at their white coat ceremony.

Velveeta shells and cheese, they used to taste so good. Poor choice to pair with BBQ.

The cheese sauce was terrible.
