For a brief time-- back when MTV actually played music videos-- they did a recurring "The Week in LAME!" segment, about 30 second long, "...brought to you by the metalheads of America." They would pronounce "lameness" on whatever was lame that week. The USSR, for example. "LAME!!" AIDS? "LAAAAMMMMEEEE!" Looking back, they were pretty much spot-on, every time. | |||
