To add to the above, now I see coming out with the Durham report, that Barack Obama was briefed while in office on the particulars of the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane phony investigation at the time his attorney general Loretta Lynch had a "tarmac meeting" with Bill Clinton. Barack Obama was aware that this investigation was nothing more than a political smear campaign against the opposing political party's candidate and he did nothing to intercede.

Does anyone really believe that that America-hating son of a bitch is going to have his wife step into the political arena with the man who was unjustly the target of this criminal smear campaign?

It's hard to relax on a beach in the French Riviera, being waited on hand and foot and treated like gods when you're campaigning against Donald Trump and the truth has come out about the potential "first husband". You can't be at ease hobnobbing with the world's greatest celebrities when The Donald Is making new nicknames for you and your spouse at overflowing campaign rallies he's holding.

The Obamas are treated like royalty wherever they go and they are not giving that up to spend years of slogging though the political sewer of Washington once again.

The video starts at a pertinent section:

Shapiro: "Do you know who's briefed on this? Barack Obama..."

Now, in light of what is now coming out, tell me again about the grand plans for Michelle.

Biden vetoes bipartisan bill protecting US solar panel makers from Chinese competition.

President Joe Biden vetoed a bipartisan resolution Tuesday that would have reversed his executive action last year in which he ordered the Department of Commerce not to enforce tariffs on Chinese solar panel manufacturers for two years.

A second IRS whistleblower in the criminal investigation of first son Hunter Biden emerged Monday in documents sent to Congress following the purge of the entire investigatory team looking into President Biden’s son for tax fraud and related crimes.

The new whistleblower is a special agent in the IRS’s international tax and financial crimes group and worked on the Hunter Biden case since it was opened in 2018 — until he was ousted without explanation last week.

The agent joins his supervisor, who plans to testify behind closed doors before the House Ways and Means Committee on Friday, in publicly registering concerns about how the Justice Department has handled the investigation.

Both IRS whistleblowers expressed concerns internally for years about the case being swept under the rug but got nowhere, and they lay out extensive claims of retaliation in new disclosures to Congress.

Hunter, 53, allegedly failed to pay taxes on millions of dollars he received from foreign associates who in some instances interacted with then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Hunter wrote in communications retrieved from his abandoned laptop that he had to share “half” of his income with his father.

The IRS supervisor, who oversaw the probe since January 2020, and his 12 subordinates were removed from the case — allegedly on Justice Department orders — after he contacted Congress on April 19 to allege “preferential treatment” and false testimony to Congress by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

House rebukes EPA’s vehicle emissions crackdown, heads to Biden’s desk

The Senate voted in April to overturn Biden's unprecedented crackdown on heavy-duty trucks.

https://justthenews.com/politi..._campaign=newsletter

On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted in favor of a resolution to strike down the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) emissions restrictions for heavy-duty trucks.

The joint resolution, which passed the House by a 221-203 vote, was introduced by Republican lawmakers in February via the Congressional Review Act (CRA) — a law that allows Congress to reverse rules made by a federal agency.

Passed narrowly by the Senate last month in a 50-49 vote, the resolution now heads to President Biden’s desk, where the White House previously said he would veto the bill in response.

The EPA’s decree was first announced in 2021 and finalized in December of last year, touted by the agency as the “strongest-ever national clean air standards.” It forces manufacturers, trucking companies and more to take drastic steps to cut carbon emissions for their products, which are over 80% stricter than the standards that have been in place for decades.

Both Republicans and Democrats have heavily criticized the Biden rules. West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin called it “oppressive regulations” that will “push truck drivers and small trucking companies out of business” through high costs. Michigan Republican Rep. Tim Walberg appeared to second such sentiments, saying the agency’s push would “upend” the “entire economy.”

Other EPA measures under Biden have also received intense scrutiny across party lines. Along with his rebuke of the truck rules, Sen. Manchin vowed he would vote to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act, which he previously supported, and oppose all Biden EPA nominees over the agency’s plan to require power plants to slash nearly all of their CO2 emissions, which many experts say would spell disaster for the nation’s power grid.

Perhaps most notably, the EPA has proposed requiring roughly two-thirds of all new car sales to be fully electric by 2032, a move that is still garnering widespread opposition.

In his first days in office, President Biden directed all federal agencies to aggressively push for rules and policy changes to combat climate change by pushing for a green energy transformation.

Ruining gas lawn mowers, gas ranges, internal combustion vehicles, and now dishwashers. Tyranny at it's finest.

The Federal Dirty Dish Rule

New ‘efficiency’ rules mean you can taste last night’s spaghetti again.

https://archive.fo/i9hJ6#selection-133.5-137.71

The White House swears it isn’t gunning to ban gas stoves, but why would anyone believe that after its latest attack on functional home appliances? Last week the Energy Department dropped a sweeping proposal for “efficiency” mandates on dishwashers. Did you enjoy last night’s spaghetti, still crusted on the plate? Now you can taste it twice.

The proposal requires manufacturers to slash water use by a third, limiting machines to 3.2 gallons per cycle, down from the current federal limit of five gallons. New appliances must simultaneously cut estimated annual energy usage by nearly 30%. Americans have learned the hard way that stricter efficiency rules on already efficient appliances translate into higher costs, inconvenience, and ultimately waste.
The Obama Administration’s dishwasher regulations raised the average price of a machine nearly $100, while producing a new norm of dirty forks and smelly glasses. When the Trump administration in 2018 proposed relaxing the rules, it received an avalanche of comments from Americans sick of overpaying for lousy equipment. It’s “ridiculous that dishwashers I had years ago worked better than the high-tech ones today,” one comment said.

Another lament was dishwashers that make a visit to the DMV feel speedy. Machines can only meet much higher efficiency standards by recirculating water in longer cycles, meaning run times of two or three hours. Yet if the dishes aren’t clean, owners run them again, undermining the argument about conservation. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says that in 2020 nearly 20% of American households that owned a dishwasher never used it. That means they hand washed, which is as inefficient as it comes.
The Biden Administration wasted no time in rolling back the Trump-era rules, but now it’s going further. The Energy Department plan gives manufacturers only until 2027 to produce the miracle of costlier washers that do a worse job. There are also new regulations for electric motors used in manufacturing, as well as beverage vending machines.

In recent months the Energy Department has proposed or finalized punishing new standards for ovens, microwaves, refrigerators and laundry machines (get ready for even moldier clothing). These come on top of rules for furnaces, air conditioners, and lightbulbs. In December the White House bragged that it had taken more than 110 efficiency actions for “appliances and equipment,” as if frustrating the daily household experience of millions of Americans is somehow a point of pride.

The press release on dishwasher standards makes clear the intent is to reduce “carbon pollution” and combat the “climate crisis,” never mind that the trivial CO2 emissions savings from your ill-functioning Whirlpool are laughable next to the coal power plants China is building. At least progressives are being honest about their goal of controlling every detail of American life. And yes, your gas stove is next.

IRS whistleblower identified, will testify Friday to Congress

https://justthenews.com/accoun..._campaign=newsletter

The IRS whistleblower who alleges there has been political interference in the Justice Department's investigation of Hunter Biden will testify to the House Ways and Means Committee behind closed doors on Friday, Just the News has learned.

Supervisory Criminal Investigative Agent Gary Shapley will be allowed to talk about the specifics of what has happened in the five-year long investigation of the first son.

Before Wednesday, Shapley's name had been protected as part of his whistleblower complaint, but multiple sources confirmed his identity to Just the News and said the agent was planning to do a brief interview with a television network in the next 24 hours.

He first approached the IRS internal watchdog last year with the help of whistleblower attorney Mark Zaid.

Shapley has alleged that federal prosecutors have engaged in "preferential treatment and politics" to prevent charges from being brought against the president's son. He has further filed a formal complaint with the Office of Special Counsel, contending that he was sidelined from the case after he made protected disclosures and was passed over promotion despite being the most qualified candidate.

His current attorneys disclosed to Congress last week that Shapley and his entire team had been formally removed from the case by the Department of Justice in what they described as another act of retaliation.

Shapley is represented by former DOJ lawyer Mark Lytle and former congressional investigator Tristan Leavitt, who now serves as president of Empower Oversight. The pair wrote to IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel earlier this week, calling his attention to a separate communication sent to him by one of Shapley's subordinates, whom the DOJ also removed from the case.

In that communication, Shapley's subordinate case agent appeared to indicate that the pair's efforts to call attention to pervasive problems affecting the investigation have gone on for much longer, saying "[f]or the last couple years, my SSA and I have tried to gain the attention of our senior leadership about certain issues prevalent regarding the investigation."

"I have asked for countless meetings with our chief and deputy chief, often to be left out on an island and not heard from. The lack of IRS-CI senior leadership involvement is deeply troubling and unacceptable," the case agent told Werfel.

FBI formally refuses to produce Biden probe memo to Congress, Comer to hold Wray in contempt

https://justthenews.com/accoun..._campaign=newsletter

The FBI formally refused Tuesday to turn over to Congress an investigative memo alleging a bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden, prompting the chairman of the House Oversight Committee to begin proceedings to hold Director Christopher Wray in contempt.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the panel's chairman, said he still plans to meet with Wray on Wednesday but declared the bureau's notification of refusing to comply with a subpoena to be unfortunate.

“Today, the FBI informed the Committee that it will not provide the unclassified documents subpoenaed by the Committee. The FBI’s decision to stiff-arm Congress and hide this information from the American people is obstructionist and unacceptable," Comer said.

"While I have a call scheduled with FBI Director Wray tomorrow to discuss his response further, the Committee has been clear in its intent to protect Congressional oversight authorities and will now be taking steps to hold the FBI Director in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a lawful subpoena," he added. "Americans deserve the truth, and the Oversight Committee will continue to demand transparency from this nation’s chief law enforcement agency."

Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus Scott Perry (R-Pa.) suggested having FBI Director Christopher Wray sent to the congressional brig if he doesn't cooperate and produce the Biden probe memo to Congress.

"We can't press charges. But we certainly can refer charges," Perry said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "And if he shows up on Capitol Hill, if he shows up in the House chamber, he can certainly end up in the brig here. I think those are harsh words, but we just can't have this defiance. The information as we understand it is not classified."

"Either he needs to comply or there needs to be severe consequences -- the most extreme competent consequences that the legislative body can provide for," Perry continued. "That's what needs to happen with an individual like him with his defiance about the truth that the American people deserve and own"

Too bad the Democrats did not retain control of the House so we would not have to endure this drama.

Personal observation about certain three letter agencies and the way they are managed. There are conservatives working in the rank and file, but they rarely are promoted into the management levels. If any of these conservatives get "outed" or on the radar of management, they get pushed out the door post haste. Whistleblowers or anyone unwilling to tow the party line get buried by any number of dirty tricks.

Even in more conservative areas in the country, agencies are managed from the ASAC/Territory Manager level on up by hard leftists. There was a huge push during the Obama administration to force out older less politically active managers and install hardline radical leftists into these positions.

The left now has political influence over which cases get worked, and who gets a pass. I also suspect that these managers have ordered subordinates to do case and taxpayer research and served as the conduits with DOJ to leak confidential information to the media.

The only real answer is to clean slate the bureaucracy at the management levels and start over. I hope that Trump gets another chance to try his hand at it.

I agree.

Trump was impeached twice by a narrow Dem. majority.
Now, the most corrupt politician in my memory gets a pass by the House? Why?

After Contempt Threat, FBI Director Wray Admits Oversight Whistleblower Report on Shady Biden $5 million Payment Does Exist

An interesting series of updates to the FBI whistleblower case of Joe Biden taking a $5 million bribe payment which now looks to have originated in Ukraine.

The background claim is pretty basic. A whistleblower approached congress stating the FBI had a report, an unclassified FD-1023, detailing a conversation with a ‘confidential human source’ (CHS) that outlined Vice President Joe Biden taking a $5 million payment from a foreign national to affect a U.S. policy decision. The FBI agent responsible for investigating the CHS claim was FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten, a sketchy character from the Trump-Russia probe.

The investigative events took place in June and July 2020 during the presidential election year. The claim is that FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Auten reportedly buried the CHS allegation saying it could not be corroborated, and then wrote an assessment that it was Russian disinformation. However, the FBI investigative team didn’t see any effort by any FBI member to substantiate it. Hence a whistleblower, with specific knowledge of the details in the allegation, surfaces and tells congress the FBI is hiding the FD-1023 that outlines the confidential human source allegation of bribery.

Congress requested the FD-1023, the FBI refused to provide it. House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer then set a compliance deadline while he coordinated with Senator Chuck Grassley. The FBI still refused to turn it over, saying they would neither confirm nor deny the FD-1023 existence, and said releasing any information like that would potentially compromise Confidential Human Sources (CHS’s). The proverbial sources and methods excuse.
