Biden’s new tactic is to cause as much pain and shortages and disruption as possible to try and get these Senators to cave and pass his Build Back Better bullshit.

He’s said it several times in the past week alone:
“The only way we can fix all the shortages and inflation is to pass Build Back Better”. Which is ISANE because that will make the situation even WORSE. Red Face

That has no chance of working, just as his "Hey, I'm a likeable Guy!" tour won't help to improve his image.

US To Close Borders To Unvaccinated Canadian, Mexican Truckers On Saturday

By Nate Tabak of FreightWaves,

The U.S. will close its borders to unvaccinated and partially vaccinated Canadian and Mexican truck drivers on Saturday, the Department of Homeland Security said on Thursday.

“These updated travel requirements reflect the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to protecting public health while safely facilitating the cross-border trade and travel that is critical to our economy,” Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement.

The border COVID-19 vaccine mandates are coming into force despite pushback from the truck industry. The impact will be felt most acutely for the U.S.-Canada freight market, where around 160,000 truckers regularly cross the border — 75% of whom are Canadian.

Already capacity has tightened significantly, with huge price increases in the spot market. It adds to existing pressures, including COVID-19 itself, which left many fleets operating below full strength.

“The supply chain is already fragile — so it puts all of us in a precarious situation,” Dan Einwechter, CEO of Canadian trucking and logistics firm Challenger Motor Freight, told FreightWaves.

The Canadian Trucking Alliance and American Trucking Alliance have projected that 10%-15% of drivers may leave cross-border trucking as a result of the mandates, and exacerbate existing supply chain issues. On Monday, several dozen Canadian truckers protested near the U.S. border in Emerson, Manitoba.

https://www.zerohedge.com/econ...an-truckers-saturday

So... Someone's job is to sit alone in an empty moving box 12 hours a day and we need to ban them because they don't want an experimental injection that doesn't stop them from contracting COVID?

But it's "catch and release" on illegal aliens, no injection required?

Their goal is to strangle the supply chain. It's actually that simple.

You'd think these IMBECILES (the Geniuses from the US & CA .gov alike) might get together and get on the same page for the mutual benefit of the populations they govern, which would be the opposite page they're both on currently...But of course, you'd be wrong! Roll Eyes

And why the Fuck is Mayorkas even involved and making this announcement anyway? He's Homeland Security and certainly has other shit he should be focused on...Not to mention that the 'Homeland' is NOT at risk from an invasion by Canadian truckers! Is Butt-gig still out on 'Maternity Leave' learning how to breastfeed? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Chaos and pain is the goal, and they've been very successful at accomplishing that goal thus far. Our goal should be gutting Congress like a hog at slaughter in November. Then we the people should belittle and show blatant disrespect to this president and administration everywhere we can. Give them zero quarter. Hell, send a couple thousand people to Delaware to protest 24/7 at Joey's home.

I would love to see Brandon tour America and try to connect with the people...

Hed have to allow people to ask questions and then they'd ask stuff about inflation being at a 40-year high and why he canceled Keystone XL but allowed the Russian Nord Stream pipeline to go through unchecked. And couple that with he current Russian crisis and pending invasion of the Ukraine ("Mr. Potatus...did you give Putin a pass on Nord Stream so that he would agree not to invade the Ukraine...how do you think thats working out for you?").

And faced with those types of questions hed go completely demented angry old guy next door on the audience like he did in the press conference the other day when asked about comparing people with dissenting opinions to the bill attempting to federalize elections for the Dems favor to Bull Connor and Jefferson Davis.

It would be a bloodbath for the Brandon Regime and they know it which is why its not going to happen at any reasonable scale. If he went any where except american socialist controlled strongholds, hed get heckled mercilessly. Even in left wing poster child state NJ he got chided last September when touring Hurricane Ida flood damage areas.

So DHS is concerned about 160k Canadian truckers, but Biden isn’t concerned about the 200k that are apprehended and released each month at the southern border?

Man, they'd need to call out the National Guard to go with Biden on such a trip to protect him from the 84 million people who voted for him, most of which now hate him, let alone the 75 million people that voted for DJT and really hate him.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty concerned about this.

I have a sneaky feeling that these guys are going to get us involved in a war over there, if for no other reason than to take the attention off of the utter failure of this administration domestically.

Like many here, I grew up in, and served in, the Cold War. Back then I didn't worry much because I knew that neither of us were fucking crazy enough to get into a war with each other. Now? I'm not so sure. The left IS crazy enough to do this.

Problem with that theory and/or approach is that no one outside of the typical elected Washington morons would be in favor of that sort of endeavor. All Biden and crew would do is further piss off and already pissed off American public.

The opening segment on Tucker Carlson Tonight, which aired Thursday 1/20, lays it out as a frighteningly dangerous, extremely ill advised, and wholly unjustified endeavor...And yet it seems we're heading towards a potential hot conflict in Ukraine.

More and more I feel as though I was transported back in time and I’m personally experiencing the events described in a history about the months and days before 1 September 1939 (the German attack on Poland and the start of World War II in Europe).

Domestically, I agree.

In reference to Europe today though:

A ruthless, aggressive leader of a country that was defeated in the past and needs to recover lost territory (and glories): not exactly what happened prior to September 1939, but elements are eerily similar.

Appeasements, “Stop, or I’ll say ‘Stop’ again,” and, “It’s in their back yard and none of our concern”—until we decide it is.

No good way of actually preventing the aggression by those who are trying to deter it.

No clear idea of what a shooting conflict would be like against the enemy.

The aggression target not really being all that likeable of a victim to go to war over, but we might, anyway.

The (our) national leadership seemingly intent on an action that has little domestic support. Or perhaps not and is just floundering with no clear idea of what to do, if anything.

An enemy that has no clear idea of how its aggression will be met and is willing to risk it based on past bloodless successes.
Or:
“To make a war, sometimes it is necessary that everyone guess wrong.”

^^^ Isn't all of that true in Asia as well? Maybe the better analogy given the possibility of two wars and heightened domestic divisions is the period immediately before we went to war with Mexico in the 1840s.

Georgia suing Biden administration over Medicaid rejection

Georgia sued the Biden administration Friday over its decision to revoke approval of a work requirement in the state’s plan to expand Medicaid coverage to more low-income Georgians.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Brunswick, Georgia, says the decision last month by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services was an illegal and arbitrary "bait and switch of unprecedented magnitude." It seeks a court order reinstating the original plan with the work requirement.

"Simply put, the Biden administration is obstructing our ability to implement innovative healthcare solutions for more than 50,000 hardworking Georgia families rather than rely on a one-size-fits-none broken system," Georgia Gov Brian Kemp, a Republican, said in a news release announcing the lawsuit.

He accused the Democratic president’s administration of playing politics.

CMS said it does not comment on litigation.

The work requirement was approved by then-President Donald Trump’s administration, but CMS announced last month that it was revoking approval of both that plan and a related Georgia proposal to charge some Medicaid recipients monthly premiums for their health coverage.

"This case is about whether the federal government must keep its promises," the lawsuit says.

CMS Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure said in a letter to the state that the work requirement could be impossible for people to meet during the pandemic, when it was critical that low-income Georgians have access to health coverage. The Kemp administration said at the time it planned to challenge the decision in court.

Republicans had presented Georgia’s plan as a financially responsible alternative to a full expansion of Medicaid services under the Affordable Care Act, which 38 states have already done. The plan sought to add an estimated 50,000 poor and uninsured Georgia residents to the Medicaid rolls in its first two years. But to be eligible, new Medicaid recipients would have to engage in a minimum number of qualifying hours through work, job training, education, volunteering, or other similar activities.

Democrats in Georgia say full expansion would cover hundreds of thousands of people at a much lower cost to the state. That’s because the ACA, President Barack Obama’s signature health care law, gave states the option of expanding Medicaid to low-income adults who make up to 138% of the federal poverty level, with the federal government picking up 90% of the cost. More than 10 million people in the U.S. have gained coverage that way.

Kemp has said full expansion would cost the state too much money in the long run.

The Biden administration is separately reviewing Georgia’s plan to overhaul how residents buy health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. That plan — under which Georgia residents would bypass healthcare.gov and shop for federally subsidized health insurance through private agents — was also approved by the Trump administration.

This stupid, senile sack of shit reads speeches prepared for him by his commie speech writers, then acts indignant when he's questioned about the rhetoric. How about you review the speech before you mumble it in public, you idiot? Then again, you wouldn't know the difference anyway, would you? Because you were a fool even before you became senile.

Yeah, this is what we need- a president and a vice president who are unable to hold their temper.

Listen, Joe- no one is buying your fucking fake outrage. When you pull this crap, it makes you look like even more of a horse's ass than you look already.

And, really, just fuck you, you drooling, senile sack of shit. You're pulling this country down and all you can do is try to act tough. Really, fuck you, you blithering idiot.

One year since President Joe Biden canceled approval for the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada, and the United States’ thirst for oil is as strong as ever and rising.

U.S. oil imports from Saudi Arabia and Russia have increased, and gasoline prices are higher than they have been in the last five years.

“[Keystone XL] was a missed opportunity to increase North American energy security, lower costs for American consumers and reduce dependence on foreign energy sources that are hostile to U.S. interests,” says Frank Macchiarola, senior vice-president with the American Petroleum Institute.

“The Keystone XL pipeline would have provided good-paying union jobs to American workers while delivering affordable, reliable energy to American consumers from a close U.S. ally.”

our imports from Russia more than tripled from February of 2019 through September of 2021

Less than two years ago, America had become the dominant oil and gas producer on the planet, with much of the credit going to our partnership with Canada.

Gas prices dropped to the lowest levels in a generation and stayed there. We were a net energy exporter for the first time in our history .

Now, after barely one year under the new administration, we are once again going to some of our adversaries with our hats in our hands and asking for more oil. At the same time, we’re sticking a knife in Canada’s back. To try to write this off as some sort of coincidence that isn’t a result of Joe Biden’s energy policies is a fool’s errand.
