Really? That's the only possible outcome with Biden's polling and approval cratering at the speed of light nationwide while we watch the economy teetering? How bad did Trump win in West Virginia last year? Yeah, Manchin for all of his faults has been around Washington long enough to see clearly the writing on the wall right now. If he caves and signs onto some socialist $3T+ bill, he's history in West Virginia. I neither like nor trust Manchin, but I do know one thing about the man...he will always protect himself first and foremost when it comes to getting re-elected.

That's just Joe getting out in front of when he follows her into the bathroom to harass her.

That's right, and leaving a shitload of citizens and allies behind in Afghanistan was just part of another process. I'd be less insulted if Biden had labeled the terrorizing of Sinema as collateral damage.

Not surprising. The left covered for Antifa for over a year while they attacked Federal courthouses. BLM burned, looted, and murdered in multiple cities while the left ran cover for them and even raised bail money. It all made Trump look bad so they were all in.

Now that their activists are harassing Senators from their party that won't tow the line it is all normal.

I hope this really pisses off Manchin and Sinema to no end, and they really refuse to cooperate with China Joe. Or even better switch parties.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

That's the problem with Republicans - they/we give in and the opposition NEVER EVER EVER does.

So HELL NO to compromise.

The open borders group behind last weekend’s harassment of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) at Arizona State University (ASU) is linked to left-wing billionaire George Soros, a vital donor to the Democrat Party.

On Saturday, Sinema was hounded and followed by illegal alien activists with the group Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA), demanding amnesty for the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States.

LUCHA is listed as a partner of the Center for Popular Democracy which is funded to the sum of millions of dollars every year by Soros’s Open Society Foundation.

Our side is fucked, I say our side instead of Republicans, because they are just barely on our side. In fact 30 years ago the current Republican party would be considered Democrats or Blue Dog Democrats.

The Dems took a page out of The Art of the Deal, we are all distracted by the costs of the proposal, not it's contents. They are waving around $3.5T (actually $5T+) to distract everyone from the contents of the bill. Sienima and Manchin are giving us hope by cutting the pricetag, but who's negotiating the policy changes? If they cut the bill in half, but leave in place a path to citizenship or other progressive wet dreams, have we actually won anything? I'd say not, I say the meat and bones are more important than the bottom line dollar cost.

They've distracted us with their big ask, and now we are settling for cheaper crappy policy with a smile on our face. We are the losers here, the swampy R's get to claim a false victory to their constituents and the D's get a major policy victory. We are getting the wool pulled over our eyes.

That is spot on. No 2 hours to read and pass it. It needs to be thoroughly revealed and debated.

https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2...legal-aliens-n420131

The $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill extends the Child Tax Credit to anyone in the United States who provides an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, overturning a crucial safeguard against fraud. Federal law required a valid Social Security number to receive the cash transfer from the federal government.

The potential payout for illegal immigrants is massive, with each family receiving a monthly payment of $250 to $300 per child.

A survey from the Pew Research Center found that roughly 675,000 children are not eligible for a Social Security number, making the tax credit expansion for illegal aliens cost between $2.025 billion to $2.43 billion a year. Other estimates put the total number of illegal children residing in the United States at more than 800,000.

Guess what sort of government document illegal aliens (including their children) are unable to obtain. A Social Security Number. But since many of them do manage to somehow file tax returns every year, do you know what sort of identifier they can come up with? An ITIN.

With an ITIN in hand, they would now be able to file for the Child Tax Credit. Each family would be eligible to receive up to $3,600 per year per child. And we’re talking about an estimated 600,000 to 800,000 children.

The reason that SSNs have always been required to apply for federal entitlements of this type was to prevent fraud. Non-citizens are not entitled to receive such benefits. But with one wave of the Democrat magic wand, illegal aliens would be able to sidestep that security measure and run up the government’s bill by a very significant chunk. And if you think that this change just happened to show up in the bill by accident, you’re probably delusional. This was clearly intentional

They’re trying to shovel this change into the system just as we’re seeing a nearly unprecedented surge in illegal aliens crossing the border, most of whom are now simply being released without having to go through any processing. That number includes a lot of children. These migrants already come here in violation of the law because they learn about America’s generous social welfare system. This application of the Child Tax Credit in such a fashion would amount to what is essentially a guaranteed basic income for all illegal alien families with children.

^^^ see my post above. Lowering dollar value of the bill doesn't get us out of the woods. Why would we pay illegals to be here illegally? We are being fooled by the enemy and our supposed 'allies'.

Jesse,
You are exactly right.
The dollar amount is a ruse and can be manipulated.
