Yes Frank, that was refreshing. Like the plot of Ladyhawk, Kurt regularly presents us the moment, the instant, prose and poetry almost interface. At times his work is so close to it one cannot easily distinguish the two methods from each other. He is truly talented and I learned a new word.

In a conversation with reporters, one senior administration official explained the importance of stopping politically fueled violence before it started.

“We will work to improve public awareness of federal resources to address concerning or threatening behavior before violence occurs,” the official said.

The official cited the Department of Homeland Security’s “If you see something say something” campaign to help stop radical Islamic terror as a domestic possibility.

“This involves creating contexts in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence,” the official said.

Biden began his presidency with a stark warning in his inauguration speech about the “rise in political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism that we must confront and we will defeat.” On June 1, Biden described the threat from “white supremacy” as the “most lethal threat to the homeland today.”

In a speech on Tuesday, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said in the "coming days and months" he would convene an interagency task force dedicated to combating domestic terrorism.

Garland said the Jan. 6 attack by Trump supporters had shown white supremacists and militia groups to be the country's greatest domestic security threat.

"In the FBI's view, the top domestic violent extremist threat comes from racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the white race," Garland said.

The Biden administration conducted a sweeping assessment earlier this year of domestic terrorism that labeled white supremacists and militia groups as top national security threats.

Yup. The 'Capitol riot' was the modern-day equivalent to the Reichstag Fire.

1. Fabricate a 'crisis.'
2. Create a 'boogey man' which 'threatens the safety of the country' ("The Jews," or, in this case "White Supremacy").
3. Set up a system to inform on all who don't slavishly support the govt or adhere to its ideals.
4. Create an environment that actively seeks to oppress those the govt chooses (The Jews/conservatives).
5. React violently against these people the govt targets.

We are somewhere between step 3/4.
