It sounds like they are just launching them into the sand. I'm not sure we have to do anything.

We don't. I sure hope there is de-escalation tonight. This attack by Iran was symbolic in my opinion, and I hope we don't notch it up even more.

Why anyone would think war with Iran right now is a good thing is beyond me.

I agree. I think they HAD to do something to save face with their own people. If they didn't kill anybody I agree in de-escalation. If they killed Americans I would agree with a measured response. Problem is they won't stop IMO.

Wonder no more!

Advance to the ~2 minute mark of this "The (Bill) Still Report" video on YouTube.

That video is stunning. The news radio today was saying that Khameini "teared up a bit." They didn't say he went bat-shit hysterical ripping off and stomping on his hat, slapping his face and tearing at his beard. Ho-lee shit. Eek

Local reports claim that Iran's military has killed 30 US soldiers in Iraq tonight.

US officials have only reported Iraqi casualties so far.

Saw on mutlipe Twitter sources that Iran has made statements that if the US does not respond they are done and it's over. If the US responds of course Iran will attack everything and everyone in the region. So it sounds like Iran is hoping to save face with this light show and bow out.

I’m not so sure- if we do nothing, they may simply claim a victory over the great satan and settle down. Tit for tat- the people will accept whatever story they’re provided with. If their hardware is really newer Russian munitions, I find it odd that they would simply hit sand away from preferred targets. The last thing the leadership wants is the full brunt of a decapitation of their air defenses like we did in Iraq so long ago in Desert Storm. With much older tech.

I have to agree. I am for a nation (USA) standing up to agression, terrorism , and defending it's allies, but war should always be a last, resort.

Any conflict with Iran, no matter how superior our military forces are, would be 10 times the carnage and damage our country has gone through in Afghanistan or even the two conflicts in Iraq.

I personally believe that Iran already has a workable nuclear device, and as a last ditch or fanatical move would use it.

But, in thinking about this situation more, this would be the time to quell Iran's violence toward the USA. If not checked, it goes on.

Hard decisions.

Their history, including their recent history against us, suggests that they won't stop. In fact, as they have gotten away with provocations under Obama and Trump, they have become more bold.

Funny thing is we are sitting here thinking they were just trying to save face. Somewhere in Iran people are trying to explain how they missed 60 times.

Well, it's little wonder. The Iranian bung-tonguers in our leftist media corps know it makes him look like the unhinged lunatic that he is, and that works against their message. His entourage had to drag him off his little throne and out of sight because even they knew how insane it looked.
