Iron Eagle? It used to be on TBS on Sundays all the time I loved Lou Gossett Jr in it.

If all the Iranians did was to rearrange some sand in the desert with no casualties and minimal or no property damage, I would have no problem with considering the matter closed. To be clear, I was 100% supportive of the decision to take out the Iranian general.

He's talking about this. It's Ayatollah Khameini losing his ever-loving mind.

Or perhaps consider the possibity that Iran truly targeted those bases with the intent to kill many people but the US interfered with their targeting systems to make the missles fall in the middle of the desert.

Iran knows they were messed with and holds off launching more since it's a PR disaster to have every missle miss as part of their revenge.

Just saying...

Like it or not, Iran is at, and has been "at war" with us for a long time.

I agree with the Monkey. This started in the late 70s and Jimmy Carter allowed it to happen. The boil has festered for 42 years.

It was just a few months ago when Iran sent those very same missiles into Saudi Arabia and precisely hit those oil facilities. They missed tonight on purpose.

This. Since 1979. And long before. You don't get to decide who you're "at war" with, when the other party calls for your death, and the death of all your friends, and at every opportunity demonstrates that they mean it. Look at the man in the video. The US may not believe it's at war with Iran, but they most certainly believe they are at war with us. And the only reason they haven't destroyed every living thing on this continent, is because they can't. Yet. Chamberlain couldn't appease the dragon, and neither can we, and it will eventually grow up and eat you if you let it.

I have a feeling that within 72 hours, Iran is going to be in the market for lots of new military gear.

According to the "news" on TV this evening, the US has prohibited (US?) commercial traffic from flying in Iraqi, Iranian, and nearby airspace for now, due to the danger.

That’s actually a pretty typical Iranian reaction to grief in my experience.

Isn't it a Shia-thing and not necessarily a Persian thing? They're the ones that do the self-flagellation using whips and flails tearing their backs open.
