Focaccia - to be paired with spaghetti and meatballs later. Or, maybe I'll just eat these for dinner.

Gorgonzola/onion, tomato/mozerella, mozerella/pesto, and mozerella/tomato/basil. And, no bugs in the flour, so I've got that going for me...which is nice.

Where is our teleporter machine we were promised on Star Trek?!!! I wish I could instantly send you some. I could see us all send each other samples of our food instantly. That would be amazing!

Looks delicious! I just did spaghetti and homemade meatballs. I didn’t post pictures since I have before. I have had it twice and meatball sandwiches twice in the last week.

My wife and I were running errands today, knew that we would be out of time and out of energy when it came time to prepare dinner, so we stopped at Steak & Shake. They make a big deal of the fact that their fries are done in beef tallow. We both remarked that the fries were, in fact, very good. The burgers were really average.

I will certainly try frying the fries in beef tallow. I have never used it before so I even have to look into buying it. I always have tried to make fries at home with fresh sweet or russet potatoes and thought they were good but I either just baked them or did a one time fry. Now learning to briefly boil in water, dry, briefly fry in oil, dry, and then do a final third fry has been a total game changer.

Remember how good McDonalds fries used to be? Better than everyone else's? Then they started to taste like crap...like everyone else's? They switched from beef tallow to vegetable oil.

The day I made the fried shrimp, I thought of doing a wonderful shrimp fettuccine Alfredo recipe I have and love. I am always looking for different recipes. I have had, but not really been into or ever cooked things like scallops, clams, or mussels. This recipe had all of them. I was about to try it and then my wife said she wanted fried shrimp with French fries. I will give the other recipe next time. As a kid no way on earth would I eat a scallop, clam or mussels but as I have gotten older I am trying and liking new things. One day I will make it and post it.

This is the recipe I was going to make: https://tastesbetterfromscratch.com/seafood-pasta/

StorminNormin, you get that flat top yet? Big Grin

Cheesesteak sandwiches last night. I used rib eye, red/white onion, green pepper, American, and provolone cheese. I seasoned them with my own beef seasoning, and then topped it with Heath Riles jalapeno garlic. Messy but delicious.

Hold on. You cut up a ribeye?? For a sandwich? Don’t get me wrong, the sandwich looks fantastic, but aren’t there more cost effective cuts that taste pretty good? I really don’t know better because I haven’t made a cheesesteak sandwich.
ETA: looked it up and recognized my ignorance. Carry on.

Stormin Norman I’m with you on the seafood pasta..looks really good. I love frutti del mare!

About once a year I get a whole rib eye loin, when I find a sale, and cut my own steaks, vac seal, and freeze. I think the last one I got for ~$10lb.

Homemade sopes last night. Homemade refined beans, handmade corn sopes, meat, real unpasteurized queso, onions, and cilantro.

Chef John's Creamy Bay Scallops.. One of my favorite recipes. I use bucatini pasta to really sop up the amazing sauce.

You are evil I tell you…evil!!!! I really need to start actually looking to buy one. So many things I want to try! If you didn’t live on the complete opposite side of the U.S., I would be knocking on your door with a plate in my hand.
