If Trump said that to the Japanese PM, I'd be inclined to agree. This is just some pissant reporter acting petulant. He deserved to get his pee pee wacked.

I think this is 100% the right move with respect to Iran. When their negotiator sits across from you and not only says "No" to giving up the enriched uranium, but states that "We have enough to make 11 bombs"... Well, then you have to do something about that if your position is that Iran will never have a nuke on your watch. This is not a new stance by The President, this has always been his stance going back decades. If you are an informed voter, then you should have been 100% knowledgeable about where he stood on this issue. There is plenty of video out there where he has been asked questions about Iran and he has been consistent, going back to the Iran Hostage debacle. The "Boz"

Keep in mind that the US did not start the war with Iran. They started it in 1979 and have continued it since. It is long overdue that the US treated it as such because failure to act against aggression only encourages more aggression. Will the current military action end the war for good? Probably not, but it's possible, and very few wars settle things forever. It's enough if they settle them for a time. ► 6.0/94.0 “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz

Amen and well said. Ignoring the largest sponsor of terror on the planet will not make them go away, it will only give them time to get stronger. They should have been dealt with long ago. .

You're going to have to explain what's so stupid about it. By you saying that, you must have thoughtfully considered what he said and the context in which he said it. Please intelligently articulate what you think was stupid about it. Also, what would you have preferred he said? "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I agree. With one exception, I believe that Reagan had the balls. I can only guess that, between a complete rebuilding of the military and the Democrats' seething rage over him getting the hostages freed, delivering one of the biggest (Carter) and the biggest (Dukakis) electoral smackdowns in US history, along with his great economic turnaround, Ronaldus Magnus decided that he needed to keep his powder dry. .

I think President Reagan had the will and the balls to do this. I think President Trump had the will, the balls, and the military ability to carry the mission out. Back in the Reagan days he absolutely would have had to put troops in Iran to accomplish anything of meaning. What we are witnessing here is a confluence of the will to act and military technology advances and coordination allowing it to actually be done without massive involvement of ground troops.

I believe Trump has a new philosophy, too. In the past we actively installed or attempted to install new regimes which we expected to be friendly to us. That required extensive boots on the ground, and was counterproductive in the end. We tried to win the hearts and minds of populations by waging war in their country. Trump's approach looks to be removing hostile regimes and then leave it to the locals. If the new regime becomes hostile, Trump will remove it. I don't think previous Presidents had Trump's mindset.

Respectfully you missed my point. In the Reagan era the military technology to wage air warfare on this level did not exist. Back then you sent in Wild Weasels to get SAM sites to target and shoot and then they tried to shoot the shooter. An amazingly brave and deadly form of warfare. Nothing even close to what occurred in the last month. The tech has matured to allow thousands and thousands of combat missions with ZERO loss due to the enemy. It doesn’t matter what Reagan wanted to do. What we have seen in the nuclear bunker bombing, Maduro, and now this has never happened in the history of warfare. Never. Pick any age or era and never have the tools on one side been this overwhelming effective. This reads like a sci fi book where modern soldiers time travel back to kill knights. And they have air support. Reagan’s philosophy was driven by what was actually doable with the tools at hand, which inevitably led to “boots on the ground”.

They had a small dinner last night at the White House and all was excellent between the two. She is becoming a great ally to Trump. And here she is in the middle of this clip, reacting to the Auto Pen portrait of Biden.
