Should have been unanimous! https://www.theepochtimes.com/...l8wg637ACpirG0OFc%3D Supreme Court Rules 5–4 White House Ballroom Construction May Go Ahead The high court had previously issued a temporary order allowing construction to continue. The U.S. Supreme Court issued an order Aug. 31 allowing construction of President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom project to continue while the administration contests a lower court order that would block much of the development. The justices voted 5–4 to grant the federal government’s request to stay a lower court’s order halting above-ground construction of the ballroom while a lawsuit against the project by a historic preservation group plays out. Construction on the project, which calls for building a 90,000-square-foot ballroom, began in September 2025. Building it required demolishing the East Wing, which Trump said was too small and in poor shape. The project is expected to cost about $400 million, all of which will be funded by private donors, according to the president.

Trump Declares War on the Foundations Cartel: Bessent's Plan to End the Dark Money Empire Trump declares war on the foundations cartel as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent moves to dismantle the dark money empire. Mike Steger examines tax-exempt nonprofits, Arabella Advisors, political finance, and globalization. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Updated 16:55, 31 August 2026 “Donald Trump has ordered Homeland Security to launch a nationwide voter fraud crackdown targeting key swing states as Republicans brace for a brutal midterm fight. Beginning Tuesday, Homeland Security Investigations, ICE's investigative arm, will launch a 'coordinated criminal voter fraud surge initiative to pursue investigative leads, conduct field interviews, and support timely prosecutorial review,' CNN reports. The operation, aimed at substantiating Trump's claims that widespread voter fraud - including by illegal immigrants - has marred recent elections, will authorize agents in nine states to pursue investigative leads through mid-October. …” https://mol.im/a/16094011 Serious about crackers.

Yes, it did, and I took no exception to that. My surprise was her blaming President Trump for the trade issues with Canada. It was as if our tariffs on their goods were not based on their extant tariffs on US products. She spoke as if the President just dreamed up this policy for no reason. At least she does recognize that the President is a master chess player. .

Updated 16:38, 01 September 2026 “Donald Trump announced that he will nominate acting United States Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao to take the job on a permanent basis. The President has dealt with significant upheaval among military leadership this year, most recently the resignation of Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll over friction with Pete Hegseth. 'We need Patriots like Hung leading our Navy and Marine Corps, and I can think of no one better than him to make sure our Great Navy and Marine Corps remain the FIERCEST and BEST Force the World has ever seen,' Trump said on Truth Social Monday. Trump also acknowledged the work Cao has been doing in his temporary role since this past April. 'The Senate needs to confirm this Warfighter, ASAP, so he can continue the fantastic work he has been doing over the past 4 months,' he wrote. Cao would require a majority in the Senate to vote for him to take the job permanently. …” https://mol.im/a/16097581 Serious about crackers.

The big issue is China. China enters US markets through Canada to bypass US tariffs. From His Own Lips Canadian PM Mark Carney Explains the Four Issues He Used to Break a U.S-Canada Trade Discussion Within 12 hours of the Friday announcement that Canada had walked away from trade discussions with the U.S, we were able to piece together what the four points were. Several people disagreed and claimed something else was involved. Today, Prime Minister Mark Carney affirmed specifically the accuracy of those four points. While Prime Minister Carney used his verbose gaslighting to describe them, you can listen for yourself. It boiled down to four issues: [1] U.S. streaming services writing code for “search engines” in the French language (cultural issue). [2] The U.S. having a right to reject a trade deal made by Canada with a non-market economy, ie. CHINA. [3] Removal of tariffs on Canadian assembled heavy trucks, semi-trucks and industrial trucks (not in the auto sector). [4] Canada demanding 5% of gross revenues from U.S. tech platforms, with an attitude that U.S. controls North American trade. You can listen to his own words describing these issues... here: https://theconservativetreehou...cussion/#more-286553 Yes, the United States dictates the terms for North American trade, because the United States is the overwhelming center of North American trade and consumer spending. The USA is the market, and Canada has an entire economy about the size of Texas. It is ridiculous to contemplate that the Canadian government can dictate terms against the U.S. economy, and we have no option other than to adhere to them out of some demanded politeness. Enough already. Announce the termination of the USMCA.

The President is popular! “Donald Trump's brand-new gold-colored $1 coin sparked chaos at the US Mint as a record rush of buyers overwhelmed its website and left customers stuck in massive virtual queues. The Treasury Department made the coin available on Wednesday as part of the nation's 250th anniversary celebration. A portrait of Trump's face is featured on the front of the coin with the inscriptions 'Liberty,' 'In God We Trust', and '1776 ~ 2026.' Despite not being released into general circulation, the Philadelphia-minted coins are legal tender and can be spent like any other US currency. The government is selling the coin in collector bundles of 25 or 100 per bag, ranging from $61 to $154. Each coin is priced at a markup of more than 50 percent above their actual value. Online shoppers are being forced to wait upwards of an hour to even access the US mint's webpage in order to purchase the coins. …” https://mol.im/a/16099835 Serious about crackers.

Duh, I suspect the great majority of these buyers are more motivated by anticipated appreciation than loyalty to our President. Greed vs. patriotism, which wins? Follow the money.

Can't say for sure what is motivating the buyers, but I guarantee the majority of buyers are not Democrats or anyone on the Left. They hate Trump and wouldn't be caught dead participating in anything that even has the appearance of helping him or making any idea of his successful. Not to mention they probably think he is personally profiting from this somehow. Their hate far exceeds their greed. ---------------------------------- "These things you say we will have, we already have." "That's true. I ain't promising you nothing extra."
