Dems planning to investigate and impeach Trump? Only if you (not directed at you, tleddy) have been living under a rock would you think this is some kind of well kept secret that they just now unveiled.

In terms of “combating” this, what is there for us to combat? We are simply spectators. Trump and his troops I’m sure already have things planned out for the unlikely event.

So what the dems are planning is a major fishing expedition, scouring every document and every electronic trail they can find, in order to fund something, anything which could be construed as some form of high crime or misdemeanor. Even if it must be twisted or tortured to appear that way.

There is no combatting this in real time aside from a patriotic press exposing the dems as jackals who are abusing a sacred system. Since the major media are part of the leftist dem machine, they will only add fuel to the fire.

Voting out the assholes and voting in decent people is the ultimate answer, but is retro-active.

Impeachment is the second to last resort in removing a president. When the situation is so dire that it can't wait until the next election (the ballot box solution), then impeachment is the jury box solution. The only solution more extreme is the cartridge box. Congress should only be seeking impeachment when the citizenry has widely lost faith in the President, including a very large portion of those who voted for him. Nixon was such a case, where many Republicans were shocked by Nixon's actions.

We, as voters, need to make Dems sorry they turned impeachment into a form of lawfare or political dirty trick against the opposition. They're making us into a 3rd world banana republic.

Trump Says Leavitt Leaving Her Post as White House Press Secretary at End of Month

The president made the announcement via Truth Social on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON—Karoline Leavitt, the youngest White House press secretary in history, will depart her role at the end of the month, President Donald Trump announced Aug. 12.

“Our wonderful White House Press Secretary, and one of my most trusted aides, Karoline Leavitt, will be departing her role at the end of the month so she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family, a decision I totally understand and respect!” Trump posted to his Truth Social platform. “Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.”
The president thanked the 28-year-old for her work ethic and commitment.

“Karoline has been a real leader in the White House, and has done a phenomenal job fighting for Justice, Liberty, and Freedom, since 2018, including our Historic Re-Election Campaign of 2024,” Trump wrote. “Karoline has been one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”

Leavitt explained the change in a statement on X, published shortly after the president’s announcement.
“Serving as the White House press secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime,” Leavitt wrote. “I am incredibly grateful to President Trump for granting me so many extraordinary opportunities, such as working in the West Wing and spending countless hours in the Oval Office, flying around the world and meeting foreign leaders, and traveling across our beautiful country and meeting Americans from all walks of life.”

She outlined the circumstances of her departure, having given birth to her second child in May.

“Being a mother and welcoming a baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least,” Leavitt said.

“The truth is, since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.”

Leavitt oversaw major transformations in the press briefing room, expanding access to new media and White House correspondents from around the world.

She is leaving big shoes to fill.

The best Press Secretary in the modern White House. Her job is a tough one, dealing directly with pure imbeciles on a daily basis, no one lasts very long in the job.

As great as she is at the job, she made the right decision, imo. Family first.

And as always Trump recognized that. I was surprised she actually came back.

I'm going to miss Karoline, she is great at her job.
