Yes, TMZ is my source for the facts. If TMZ says the guy is dead, he's dead. If he's not dead, TMZ operatives will be dispatched to kill him. TMZ is the Chuck Norris of whatever they are.

Best investigative reporting on the planet. Read the New York Times if you want, they get lucky sometimes.

I hope the bastard suffers a lot before he dies.

Can we covertly arm the population and provide food & water so they can rise against the regime?

They happened to get a piece of news first, that's all. These rumors have been circulating for week. If they hadn't announced the helicopter crash and deaths, do you think we might still not know? It's not as if they broke the Watergate scandal.

And the Kim rumors have been circulating for a week.

Fox has it now: China sends Med. Team to NK - Kim in Vegetative State

Still nothing definite, tho he did miss the biggest day in the NK calendar, the Celebration of Kim Il Sung's birth, which is unheard of in the People's Republic.

They just need to tweak the propaganda a bit- "Our Divine Brocolli"

The "Blessed Cauliflower" still reigns supreme. The "Infallible Cucumber" drools err watches over his people.

They just need to take the same approach as the scientologists did when ol' L. Ron kicked the bucket; "Dear Leader" no longer has any use for his body so he transcended to a higher plane.

And don't forget- water him daily and prune his dead leaves. Apply manure to his bed in the Spring...

North Korea remains silent...

North Korea remains silent amid speculation surrounding Kim Jong Un's health
The North Korean dictator's health remains a mystery after a report that he was in 'grave condition' following cardiovascular surgery; Greg Palkot reports.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

Five'll get you ten that at least half of the Chinese "medical team" has nothing to do with medicine or support for the medical types. The PRC has been trying to keep the Norks in the fold forever, and the Russians have been trying winkle them away since before that - if the day comes that Li'l Kim is truly out of commission there should be some fair amount of Chinese activity visible.

So with no heir, who becomes the divine god-like leader?

I'm not real excited about the prospect of a power vacuum and struggle in a nuclear country.

Wonder what’s going to happen to the surgeon if dear leader becomes a breathing Brussel sprout, probably a little more serious than take his note book away.

It looks like his sister - and I'm not sure having another Kim in charge of Nork nukes is necessarily an improvement over a power vacuum. At the same time, we can just about count on the Chinese to freak out and take massive action if it looks like North Korea's descending into chaos. They're right next door, so they're a lot more paranoid about things going wrong there than any of us are.

Im not so sure about the sister. Arnt they a 1940's society, where woman raise kids and cook in the kitchen? The military generals might coup it up and run their own little despot kingdom. Or the military generals are scared little sheep, and will bow down to her and do whatever she says??

It will be super interesting the next few months to see what happens. You can bet your damn ass that China is right there pulling the puppet strings and keeping them communist, rather than allowing reunification with South Korea and democratic capitalism taking over.
