So...whats happening with North Korea? It seems the media coverage of threats of total and complete destruction have fallen to the wayside over this. Its amazing how quickly the populace can be redirected.

If it bleeds, it leads.

And it's easier to make conservatives bad guys in the situation in Virginia.

He was punched and tackled to the ground after the surrounding crowd at his presser turned nasty

Police have not confirmed if any arrests have been made.
Ok, I don't know this guy from Adam, nor do I care, but someone needs to go to jail for this 'assault' on video, and the police department and city need to be sued out of existence for standing around with their thumbs up their ass and letting this happen.

And as other's have accurately noted, the Left in this country will not stop nor will they tone down their rhetoric. They desperately want a fight. Unfortunately for them, like most mentally ill liberal morons, they're going to be absolutely shocked when that fight actually comes and a majority of the US population falls on them like a multi-story building. Not unlike spoiled children, they need to have their asses beaten to adjust their irresponsible behavior. And that 'adjustment' is right around the corner.

Jason Kessler started to blame The City of Charlottesville for the violence before being attacked and escorted away.

I believe he had a right to speak, so here he is.

Having ignored this story until today, it seems from accounts from people there, the permit for the statue rally was pulled in the last minutes, with authorities then making no attempts to separate bussed in ATIFA members from the stature protesters, in fact practically corralling the two groups into one area. With one specific group bent on pre-planned violence and mayhem. Do I have this correct?

It seems the third group in this picture is mostly to blame in this affair.

I stand by the statement I made earlier. All of this lays at the feet of the mayor of Charlottesville, the town council who decided it was a good idea to revise history, Governor McAweful, and the various other shitheels that are pushing an agenda.
You have to remember who gives the "stand down" order to any and all police officers. These people told the police to back off and are fully responsible for the shit storm that followed. I am hearing rumors of a lawsuit being worked on against the city and I hope Charlottesville is bankrupted because of it. Once upon a time this was a nice little town, now it has been taken over by the perpetually offended!

When conservatives jump through all the hoops, particularly on college campuses, they are still shut down and not permitted to speak.

Melanin. Not enough melanin Wink Seriously though, this is the reason we are starting to some fallout. You can't coddle one group and cave to their every demand at the expense of another, it just breeds contempt. We have been seeing it play out time and time across colleges all over the country. This emboldens both sides and makes others choose between them. I am seeing a striking resemblance to what happened across the country before the start of the Civil War.

I said years ago that Obama and the left wanted a civil war. Obama even said Lincoln was his favorite President.

I know it sounded paranoid then, but the left continues to drag us towards it. We aren't there yet, but every who is looking can see civil war is not far down the road.

I thought the Lincoln reference is relevant. He was president during the last civil war, after which the US govt became IMMENSELY more powerful, at the expense of states rights. This began a downward spiral, whereby the govt is more and more powerful (obamacare, anyone?) while the rights of the states and the people diminish over time.

Leftists want and need an all-powerful central govt, and are actively fomenting crises like this in order to get it. Their end goal is a police state (with themselves in charge, of course).

Agreed that the majority of "protestors" are idiots and need to crawl back under their rocks but let's not forget that all this started with a politically correct decision by the city council. That political correctness is now responsible for three people being dead, including two public servants. Children will grow up without fathers. I say the city council has blood on its hands as does the mayor, who sat there on CNN today with a silly little smirk on his face blaming Trump . Despicable!

So this is yet again another blatant example of antifa acting out to be the very thing they say they are fighting against - brownshirt and or blackshirt thugs - and the leftist leaning leaders allowing them to attack and cause violence while blaming the innocent victims who fought back and calling them the agressors.

Got it.

Somebody should allow the adults back into the room and permanently jail all those that took part in this instigation and cover-up.

Left on left violence, totally preventable, victim blamed and responsibility for the carnage laid directly on a faction that wasn't present - conservatives.

Got it.

Now, having seen what happened in Charlotte, the mayor of Lexington, Kentucky, wants to remove Confederate statues there. Stupidity or malice?

If we do fall into civil war, it won't be the Second Civil War, it will be the Civil War, Part II.

(I don't, however, believe we are headed into civil war.)

For the time being it's leftist on leftist. If they want to kill each other then let them have at it.

I have somewhat of the same view when it comes to gangs. It's terrible that they shoot up neighborhoods, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather them be shooting at each other than at the police or other productive citizens.

Charlottesville Police Called Off When Violence Began: “We’re Leaving, It’s Too Dangerous

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/...o-dangerous%E2%80%9D

ox News reporter Doug McKelway was in attendance during yesterday’s deadly events in Charlottesville, VA, where he reported that the police were called off as soon as things started turning violent.

“But when the tear gas started to fly, thrown by protesters, the police themselves began to evacuate then. I asked the guy who was in charge, “Where you going?” He said, “We’re leaving. It’s too dangerous.” They had a chance to nip this thing in the bud and they chose not to.“

Of note, "Unite the right" held a rally which was legally organized with a permit from the city, as was their first amendment right to do so, and Antifa showed up with cement-filled cans and other weapons with plans to violently protest the event - creating a dangerous atmosphere which the police did nothing to control.

Stand Down

The ACLU confirmed that Charlottesville police were ordered to stand down, which allowed the KKK and Antifa to meet face to face with no interference.

I am surprised he also has not said he is going to change the names of the streets on either side of where the monuments are at.

On the west side is Cheapside (though a pedestrian only thuroughfare now) and the east is Upper Street.
Anyone want to take a guess on why those streets were named in the fashion they are??

I think these guys more adequately represent who was trying to have a demonstration, not the far left or the far right. And I do agree that this message isnt getting out.

10,000 attended the dedication of his statue in 1911. The entire population of the town was 36,000 at the time. The city has done well to stay away from such frays before now. There is nothing to be gained by his grandstanding, and he can forget his goals (and slim hopes) of being Senator and Governor after such pandering.

The present Chief of Police has only been on the job for a year and formally was Chief in Lexington.
Chief Longo retired last year after 15 years on the job and was well thought of while Chief Thomas seems to be out to lunch. I hope the city gets sued over this affair.
