Virginia rally participant receives death threats; says he was there to preserve history

A New York man was the target of fliers branding him a Nazi after he was identified from a photograph taken at Friday's Charlottesville rally protesting the removal of a Confederate statue -- but the man said he only went to the demonstration to preserve history, and does not believe in hate.

Jarrod Kuhn, 21, of Honeoye Falls, said he was at the "Unite the Right" rally at the University of Virginia on Friday night and was photographed carrying a lit Tiki torch, USA Today reported. The photo made its way to the Internet where social media users identified Kuhn and attempted to shame him publicly.

"I went down to Charlottesville to protest the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue," Kuhn said. "It’s a piece of history, and I felt really strongly that it shouldn’t be erased. I identify with the right wing. I’m not a national socialist; I didn’t go down there with any fascist groups."

Fliers that read “No Nazis in our neighborhood” and contained the photo with Kuhn’s name and address listed were spread around his community, WHEC reported. A post with the photo was also shared on Facebook more than 1,000 times. The Eastside Antifascists, a group based in Rochester, N.Y., allegedly created the post. The group said its goal is to “work to monitor and fight cases of local fascism,” according to USA Today.

Kuhn said he also initially attended Saturday’s rally -- which eventually turned deadly -- but left less than an hour in after he was hit on the back with a brick and splattered with paint. He also said he was not in the area at the time when Heather Heyer, 32, was killed when a car allegedly driven by a white supremacist rammed into a crowd of counter-protesters.

Kuhn said he received death threats and some people even came to his residence after the Facebook post and poster identified him as a rally participant. Honeoye Falls Mayor Richard Milne wrote a post on Facebook condemning the fliers, and called targeting Kuhn “illegal.” The fliers and the Facebook post were taken down soon after.

"I would do the same thing if it was a white supremacist posting," Milne said. "We didn’t feel it was appropriate, and we took them down and contacted the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. No matter what anybody’s personal feelings are, it was targeting an individual and a family and we took those down."

Milne added: "I think this individual has made some bad choices if he was taking part in those marches. Whether it’s a small village or a large village, if people see things like that it’s hurtful and does damage. At the same time, there are repercussions for actions."

Stephanie Kuhn, Jarrod’s mother, told USA Today she was frustrated by how quickly people jumped to criticize her son.

"We are living in a society where the loudest voices love to criticize, and that’s part of our western practice," Stephanie Kuhn said. "In the post that the Eastside Antifascist group made, they said that Jarrod has been violent toward LGBT communities. Where does that come from? Where is the proof? But one picture is taken and everyone is so quick to believe."

Kuhn said her son has participated in a Sharia Law protest as well and has never been afraid to voice his political beliefs, but he does not believe in violence.

"Yet harm, malice and violence is where we spend so much of our energy,” Kuhn said. “We need to stop perpetuating all of that agitation. My son's intention in going was to preserve the statue. He was so excited. My son has always loved politics."

Jarrod Kuhn said he has no interest in promoting hate, but said he believed both sides had bad actors on Saturday.

"I think there was violence on both sides, but I know that the left digressed. We were there, we had a permit, they did not," Kuhn said. "I’m not a hateful person. I’ve never been a problem in this community, I’ve never pushed my beliefs on to anyone, and now people feel the need to make me out to be a horrible person, some of which don’t even know me.

"I’ve done things here, I’ve contributed, I’ve helped out. I’m not what they're making me out to be."

...and where is the civil rights investigation into these people?

If the KKK stomps a BLM rally, the KKK gets investigated. If the BLM stomps a KKK rally, the KKK still gets investigated.

Until the law is applied equally this will never stop.

Civil rights is a one way street. And those who claim to be victims are entitled to their revenge, by whatever means necessary, regardless of "the law".

Great article Jesse, though the left will never comprehend a word of it. Hell, even at least one of our members don't get it! It is willful ignorance of reality that is leading this country down its current path. What the left has been great at doing is putting everyone into a position where they must pick a side. Pick the wrong one, and you are branded whatever is the flavor of the minute. Pick the right one, you get to be one of the "enlightened" that gets a free pass to act violently against the other group. If at any point there is resistance from the "wrong" group, prepare to be attacked from a thousand different directions. People are already losing their livelihood because they don't believe in "groupthink"!

Yale doctor: Secret anti-Trump gov’t forces recruited me (shocking)

August 17, 2017

There’s a congressional plot against President Donald Trump — and it could lead to him being ousted from office.

Yale’s Dr. Bandy Lee, a renowned psychiatrist, confessed to STAT Magazine on Wednesday that she’d been approached by liberal lawmakers to join a group of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals that’s being secretly assembled in September to “review the president’s mental health, and review it on a periodic basis.”

Lee declined to name the three lawmakers that had contacted her, claiming they wished to be anonymous. However, the information she revealed is very credible.

Lee’s statement comes at the heels of a move by 27 House representatives, all Democrats, to co-sponsored Congressional Bill H.R. 1987 that would establish “a Commission on Presidential Capacity.”

If established, this mental health commission would give Congress the authority to create a legal body of 11 members that could declare a president “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” — the 4th provision of the 25th Amendment that could allow the president to be legally removed from the White House.

In other words, Lee — herself an outspoken opponent of Trump — and other liberal psychiatrists are being recruited in secret by Democrat lawmakers against the president.

An outspoken leftist panel of physicians could be biased enough to deem that Trump is mentally unwell… allowing liberals in Congress to get rid of him.

The implications are chilling for the future of America.

Imagine it: Any elected official that isn’t sufficiently liberal could be deemed insane by the government and thrown out of office.

In other words, liberal Democrats seem to be trying to establish a “Thought Police” to investigate crimethink.

The idea behind this “Thought Police” panel is something widely condemned by mental health professionals as unethical and improper.

The ethics policy of the American Psychiatric Association expressly forbids mental health professionals from sharing their opinions on elected officials they’ve never personally conducted an examination.

It would be a violation of the “Goldwater Rule,” which was established in 1964 after 1,189 of psychiatrists responded to a Fact magazine survey claiming that Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater was unfit to serve.

Further, all patients have to give express permission to their physician to reveal information about health examinations, whether physical or mental.

However, that rule hasn’t stopped liberal psychiatrists like Lee from speaking out against Trump.

She recently edited a book, to be published in October, where 27 mental health experts attacked Trump’s so-called “mental symptoms.” The book reportedly attacks Trump’s “extreme present focus” and impulsiveness, calls him narcissistic, and also claims he’s deeply paranoid.

Last Friday, Lee and four other psychiatrists also wrote a letter to all the members of the U.S. House and Senate saying that Trump exhibits “severe emotional impediments that … present a grave threat to international security.

The letter echos a similar statement made in July, and asked Congress to “take immediate steps to establish a commission to determine his fitness for office.”

It seems liberal lawmakers received the letter — and have hatched the plot.

I'd like to share with you some liberal stupidity (not related to this story but shows their mindset).

My stepdaughter is a ragging liberal. My wife, a therapist, is working with an officer that was shot in the head. My stepdaughter asked what happened to the person that shot him. My wife said another officer shot him dead. My stepdaughter said, I thought officers were trained not to shoot to kill. Roll Eyes

"Start Throwing Rocks": Washington Post Op-Ed Calls For More Violence In The Streets

It’s not an exaggeration to say that battle lines are being drawn in America today. You can see it in the news everyday. As time goes on, people in this country are becoming very tribal, as Americans of different races, religions, and political persuasions turn on each other. What we saw in Charlottesville last weekend was just the latest sign that America is turning into a very dark place, where conflict between different demographics is the norm. And it probably won’t be the last indicator to emerge.

So how did we get to this place? How did we reach a point where America resembles Wiemar Germany, with white nationalists and socialist thugs battling it out on the streets and killing people?

If I were to pick one culprit for this mess, it would be the mainstream media. They’re the ones who have, for the most part, stood behind leftist ideologues for decades, and allowed them to bury public discourse under a wave of identity politics. They are at the very least, partly to blame. They’ve helped stoke divisions in this country that were once faint, or in the process of healing.

And if you don’t think the mainstream media is responsible for nudging our country towards war in the streets, then you should read this op-ed that was recently published by the Washington Post. It was written by N.D.B. Collins, an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University. In it, he appears to shamelessly call for the left to spawn more riots and violence in this country.

The white nationalist riot in Charlottesville, a city that boasts “diversity makes us stronger,” made a lot of things clear. One of them is that generic solutions to the racial problem — bland affirmations of inclusiveness, tolerance and “free speech” — will no longer work. Indeed, they have never worked, at least not on their own. …

[I]n April 1968, amid a flurry of other “rocks,” riots shook American cities following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. It took that rolling unrest, not the promise of further economic growth, to spur President Lyndon Johnson and Congress to action. Within a week they had passed the Fair Housing Act.

Over the past century, liberalism, vexed by an ever-sharp, ever-cutting white supremacy, has needed these rocks. …

Segregationists have again assumed their pedestals in the Justice Department, the White House and many other American temples. Paper alone won’t drive them out. Start throwing rocks.

Let that sink in. At a time when our country has never been so divided, and the proverbial smoke is still clearing from a deadly riot in Virginia, one of the most widely recognized news sources decides to post an article that calls for more rioting.

It looks an awful lot like the media is trying to foment a war on American soil. What other conclusion can you draw from this very public call to violence? They had to have vetted this piece and understood its meaning and intent, before unleashing it on the world. They have to know the consequences of that, and if they know those consequences, then we can infer their goals.

The mainstream media has just shown us all its true colors. They’ve finally revealed what many of us suspected for a long time. They appear to be trying to convince Americans that it’s okay to hurt, and possibly kill each other for political reasons.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

So once all the Civil War statues are removed, we'll finally be able to put the issue of slavery and the Confederacy behind us once and for all, and ALL move forward as Americans that are blessed with unlimited opportunity and a great country to live in thanks to both the good and the bad in our history.....RIGHT?

Yes! Just like we did when Americans voted the first ever (nominally) black man into the highest office in the land! Twice!

Abraham Lincoln monument torched in Chicago: ‘An absolute disgraceful act’

Abraham Lincoln has joined George Washington on the list of those targeted by Chicagoans in a national debate over Civil War-era monuments.

Alderman Raymond Lopez took to Facebook Wednesday night to decry a defaced statue of the nation’s 16th president in the Englewood neighborhood. The giant bust appears to have been damaged after someone in the 15th Ward sprayed and ignited a flammable liquid.

“What an absolute disgraceful act of vandalism. This bust of Abraham Lincoln, erected by Phil Bloomquist on August 31, 1926, was damaged & burned,” Mr. Lopez wrote, a local NBC affiliate reported. “If anyone has any information regarding this act, please contact the police or my office immediately.”

“F- Abe Lincoln,” responded Quintin Mitchell, whose comment was “liked” or deemed “funny” by 160 others.

The official’s finding came just one day after President Trump stated opposition to tearing down memorials related to America’s past with slavery.

“I wonder is it George Washington next week and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?” Mr. Trump asked reporters on Tuesday while addressing violence in Virginia.
