Those records need an asterisk by them.

I noticed there wasn't a comment area to remind them how to tell the difference between a male and a female.

I think there now needs to be three categories for competition.

males (for those born with a penis)
females (for those born with a vagina)
all others (for those who do not want to compete in either of the first two based on the set rules for qualifying)

For sure!

Imagine if your daughter had trained her whole life and finally as a senior gets to the state track meet and gets beat by 2 dudes running in the girls track meet. Ridiculous.

Oh for fucks sake. Where is Para's comet?

The wringing of hands over this would be comical if it was on SNL. Since it happened in real life, not so much.

I should have encouraged my son to run with the Varsity girls in XC and track and field. He wouldn't have made State, but he would have certainly won many local and regional races.

As for the transgenders, let's help them through this transition in life. But at some point you got to call it what it is.....cheating. And we're not talking about top rank young men. These guys appear to be decent athletes, but not cream of the crop.....and faster than most girls. What if some top male athletes runs in the young women and takes first place in sprint and mid distance?

It's started to become an issue in archery as well. We haven't had anything at the local and state levels. It has come up in the collegiate divisions and surprise, California. I asked my daughter about it and her response was that she didn't care, "If they aren't good enough to compete in their own division, I can beat them."

My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

In track and field though, that’s very doubtful.

Just eliminate gender classes in these events and be done with it. This is silly and that's putting it mildly and politely.

Yeah, equality for all.

Just have everyone compete, no special consideration for race, gender, creed, or handicaps.

It would seem that true feminists would applaud this move.

...and then, all the girls will get smoked by all the boys-who-pretend-they-are-girls.

Isn't that what we see in this story? The reality of the physical strength of males beating out that of females. That's why they had females competing separately to begin with. Remember? It wasn't intended to be the indications of an oppressive patriarchal society. It was done so that the girls would have a chance to win in their own class instead of having their asses kicked by stronger boys. Roll Eyes

Stupid people. I hope you enjoy the ridiculous trap you've created for yourselves.

Fucking pussies. The only way they can win is to run against girls. You know, the thing the are NOT despite their protestations or mutilations they are willing to do to their genitalia.

Pussies.

I'm all for supporting mixed competition. The sooner we bring the absurdity to a boil, the sooner people will come to their senses.

On a sidenote: 2000Z-71, are you saying there's a difference in archery between men and women? I just want to know as I wouldn't think there would be, just like squeezing the trigger on a gun. But I'm speaking from not knowing a thing about archery.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." There's an easy way to fix this.

If you have an "outie" you compete with the males.

If you have an "innie" you compete with the females.

I can't wait for this to come home to roost when it becomes a title IX issue.

When the first university awards a scholarship to a transgender to compete on a women's team that will pretty much end it all. Awesome!
