If you haven't noticed, young men have gone VERY conservative of late. The spread between young male conservatism and young female liberalism is huge.

Young white men have been told for a couple decades that they are toxic that their male ancestors were the root of all evil and that they need to step aside and let women and minorities move up. "The future is feminine" and "we don't need any men" are common sayings.

Young white men were raised to be non-racist, listening to rap music, watching black athletes. There could have been a post-racial culture, but no, as soon as they were willing to be equal, they were double crossed and told they had to take a back seat.

Female dominated education has pathologized normal young male behavior, diagnosed it as hyperactive, medicated it, while eliminating outside recess that boys need to work off energy.

Boys have fallen behind girls in K-12, college degrees, and graduate degrees. When girls were behind they needed encouragement and opportunity, and got it, and flourished. Now the boys get victim blamed for their situation and told they are worthless and lazy.

Women have demanded "equality" in pay such that there is zero pay gap now, and in many urban areas young women get paid more than men. Dating apps now allow young women easier access to older and more affluent men, which they often date instead of men their age. Then they shame the young men for being "poor" and not being able to pay for nice dates and vacations and gifts that the older men can afford. Or the women chase the top 10% attractive men and essentially share them with other women in "situationships". About 60% of young women say they are in a relationship compared to only 30% of young men. Many young men report zero romantic interactions with women in the past year.

Young men found solace in movies and video games. But no, they couldn't leave that alone so now we have woke gay and trans characters in super hero movies and video games.

Since George Floyd's death, S&P 100 companies have hired only 6% white men.

Housing prices are out of control and seemingly out of grasp for most.

And now they killed the leading conservative voice of their generation that was teaching them to value church, family, children.

It's going to get a LOT more conservative...

This ^^ is such an important essay. In a full career in public education boys are discriminated against every day; sometimes it’s obvious and at times it’s structural or embedded in the particular curricula used. I worked with teachers who simply did not like boys. In all of the meetings and conferences I attended only one time in a rather brief presentation did I hear that public education was failing boys. It’s almost all about “ girl power” in the public schools.

Let me put it to you this way-
In certain .gov jobs, there is no IQ test to get hired.

So YES, one can be THAT stupid. Wink

I'm pretty sure that before the weekend, he will be referred to as "former" or "used to be" Secret Service Agent.

Looks like an arrest should be coming soon. I hope they find him before he offs himself. I know some would prefer it the other way, but it seems better justice when the criminal can be sent to prison or the death chamber, not being allowed to bypass judgement and sentence.

4 Bodyguards- that's not a lot.
2 on the Individual, 1 on relief, 1 driver always on the car.

I'm going to preface this post by saying: I DONT KNOW THE WHO OR HOW HIS PERSONAL SECURITY DETAIL OPERATES!

If you watch Mr Kirk's videos, there was always 2 or 3 guys on him as "close protection". Probably a few more in the crowd. I don't know who they are, or where they came from, but they probably know what they are doing. Probably most concerned about someone jumping over the fence, or someone up close vs a rifle shot at distance. What were his Threat Assessments like?

Here's where everyone says "Bullshit! Charlie got shot, and if they were good, this wouldn't happen!"

That may be true, but reality is a messed up thing.
Sweeping rooftops and every window within 800 yds takes people,
Securing rooftops and every window within 800 yds takes more people!

What's his security budget? What could he afford?

Now remember, everything after Noon-ish on 10 Sep 25 is hindsight.

From what I've been told, Charlie drew a very modest salary from Turning Point. I think this is a great way to ensure that his wife and kids will be provided for.

The day after this tragic event and I still have a hard time with understanding the loss. It doesn’t seem real. I have been off social media since I read the first horrific comment. I can’t slap the hell out of all of them but I want to. Charlie didn’t die in vain.

RIP Mr Kirk.

Situation awareness is defined as a continuous extraction of environmental information, integration of this information with previous knowledge to form a coherent mental picture in directing further perception and anticipating future events. Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

I'm not the foremost authority on the Mauser, but Fox News is going on about this surveillance footage showing the alleged shooter "limping". The inference is that the gun is tucked down his pants. How feasible is this? Does a Mauser breakdown easily in to smaller pieces? They also showed footage of this person jumping off the roof and presumably still has the gun on them while jumping off the roof as the gun was found in the woods afterwards.

Can anyone elaborate on this?

Just watched the press update, with the Governor being the primary speaker. Not much update, a few photos and some security video from a distance. Guy was able to swing down and drop from the building. Dark clothes, sunglasses, and Converse All Star shoes. They left some smudge marks climbing down, perhaps some DNA could be isolated. Again, suspect still at large.

Yeah.
Much ignorance about what private security guards for principals like that are expected to do, much less what they can do.

How about not putting him in a damn kill box at the bottom of a downhill slope surrounded by buildings that all offer a perfect position and line of sight for a shooter?

Good god the layout is like a stage in a multiplayer first person shooter game where the "flag" is where Charlie was and everyone else is trying to snipe you.

Counter snipers are probably not going to be affordable in most cases, but at least a sweep of roofs with a spotter/drone monitoring all of them.

Need bullet proof front plexiglass screens for all public speakers that attract crazy protesters. Trump has them now. Ben, Matt, Michael and others conservatives need them.

Most of those old import Mausers were rebarreld, I don't know, by the importer or who, to modern, most popular American hunting rounds like the 06 or 08. Maybe some 270s. All were reasonably good quality hunting rifles with quality fit full wood stocks, cheek rests, nice grip caps and sling swivels. Most all had quality brand barrels. Don't believe I have ever seen a take down Mauser.

The local Texas roadhouse franchisee’s wife participated in the FA and now they are finding out. This is a very very conservative area and there is a candle light vigil scheduled for Saturday not too far from where this restaurant is and they are getting torched in comments. The wife may seriously regret posting what she did. And the locals say sing “ free speech!” Yes she has all the rights in the world to be an idiot and the town has the right to never eat steaks at her restaurant ever again.

It’s been well over 24 hours and I’m still simultaneously outraged and grief stricken at the same time.
