Looked like he was done. No knock downs the entire fight? Tied after 8 until he ran out of gas? Surprised it went that long, and surprised it was stopped with both men standing.

I concede, it's true Mayweather took advantage to boxing rules where Mc couldn't take advantage of his weakened opponent. Oh well he had a great showing in his first and probably last boxing showing. I have no ties or allegiance to boxing or MMA but work in a job where all out fighting to no rules takes precedence and I guess therefore show favoritism to those who can be real good in all aspects of fighting. I am definitely not trying to take away from Mayweather, he fought a great fight for sure. He is absolutely deserving of that 50-0. Mc wasn't some walkover shit fight.

Too safe, too boring. Basically everything that's wrong with Boxing.

Glad I didn't spend the money.

Good for those guys, though. Huge payday for a "fight" where no one was even knocked down once.

Yeah. Yawn.

Smile

Thanks for the updates.

I didn't think it was too boring, just lame ref called it. Some good shots, but both Guy's kept Their heads straight. Mc was definitely gassed later on though.

Great fight. Fun, good action from both guys. Great to see Money coming forward.

If you don't like that fight, you just don't like boxing.

McGregor was done. He was not protecting himself and refs will call that every time. If they'd let it go it might have taken another 10 seconds but the result was decided.

Ya I wish they let it go, but it definitely see messed as though it would have ended shortly as the fight near the end swung sharply in Mayweather's favor. Mc was just gassed and you could see it.

Mayweather just toyed with Mc and strung him along for those first 3 rounds.

Kinda disappointed with the lack of power from Mc.

Fun to watch though.

Totally irrelevant, and I don't know why people keep saying it. And to be perfectly honest, I don't believe that a professional boxer getting into a street brawl with an MMA fighter would get "murdered." Not even close.

Too bad we'll never find out.

What a crock of steaming bullshit.

Stopping a fight because they got too tired? When they were essentially tied? Before anyone even got knocked down?

Really? People paid $100 to watch THAT?

I'd be fuming if I'd paid that much to see some tap dancing. Let sumbitch A knock out sumbitch B. They are getting paid multiple millions of dollars for THAT? Nuts.

Good job predicting the fight for all those that said Mayweather would win. He outlasted Conor and did what he needed to do to win. Still can't stand the fucking guy though and will never respect him because he beats on women. Just wanted to come back in here and eat my share of the crow Big Grin

And the winner is....

SHOWTIME PPV!

Estimated gross from PPV alone was north of $740M. I'm guessing a net of $200M.

With a $300M payday, Mayweather probably became the first boxer to win over $1B.

McGregor took home about $85M.

I'd get in the ring against both of them together for that kind of money.

It would be their fastest knockout, as I fell to the mat upon hearing the opening bell.

I would have preferred to have seen what would happen in the next 10 seconds, although the results were entirely predictable. McGregor got tired in the 9th and started dropping his hands and wasn't defending himself very well. In the 10th he was going downhill in a hurry. McGregor was losing badly but the next 10 seconds it would have turned into a complete as kicking which I think the UFC fans needed to see. (I am.much more of a boxing fan than UFC fan).

After sleeping on it...

If McGregor would have fought a tuneup fight or two prior to tonight, he would have gotten a better handle on his conditioning and destroyed Floyd....

Wishful thinking. McGregor never had good conditioning and even Mayweather with his limited IQ knew to let him run out of gas then start picking him apart. McGregor did much better than most people thought he would but if they fought two more fights you'd see the same result.

The stoppage was BS though. A fight of this caliber needs to see someone getting knocked down before the ref throws in the towel.

A bit surprised at those who admitted they didn't see the fight, are happy they didn't spend the money on the PPV, but act like they know exactly what happened in the fight. No, you don't
