I won't say it's a nuke, but I am (and have been) concerned about something bad happening prior to the inauguration. I don't expect a "peaceful transfer of power" in whatever shape that takes. There are enemies abroad and traitors within our government who would all like to throw a wrench into Trump's plans.

Would you share your belief?

I typically don’t get caught up in this type of stuff, but admittedly the lack of communication from “authorities“ is a bit unnerving. I’m genuinely curious to what you think.

I just assumed this was mostly BS, that most of the "drones" people are seeing are just regular planes. Now I don't know what to think.

NewsNation reporter says his entire view of the New Jersey drones has changed after he witnessed 50 of them flying from the ocean.

The drones are reportedly 8-10 feet wide and can’t be detected because they don’t give off heat.

“I gotta be honest here. You know when this story first came out a few weeks ago… I didn't pay it much credence.”

“The experience I had last night, however, changed the way I feel about this story completely.”

“What I saw was more sophisticated than I ever imagined.”

“We've been looking for the past hour. I think we've seen about 40 or 50 of these drones.”

“One of their officers called 911 after seeing 50 of them come off the ocean.”

BREAKING: Governor Kathy Hochul (@GovKathyHochul) calls on President Biden to deploy additional federal law enforcement to defend New York’s skies against drone activity.

After a significant disruption at Stewart Airfield, Hochul expressed alarm and demanded federal intervention to help safeguard airspace and public safety.

This follows increasing concerns over drone sightings and potential security risks across New York and New Jersey.

If these drones were anything but .gov and/or state property they would have already been brought down; buckshot, jamming or whatever.

No better way to test new tech and doctrines than against ourselves. Even all this uproar by politicians, media and average citizens is likely providing valuable information about overall population response.

As incompetent as the current administration is, if these drones were truly hostile we would be hearing about it from the people in charge of securing the same sensitive sites these drones are flying over. I have yet to hear from some general bitching that he’s not being allowed to shoot one down.

And to address Trump’s earlier comments; we don’t know what he is (or isn’t) being briefed in on. As much as he may want transparency there are things he cannot and will not reveal. This drone issue may well be one of those things.

From all the political shenanigans of the past 4 years, I am just wondering what the drones are actually distracting us from...

So, everything that happens is a distraction from something else, right? Are there never things that happen, that merely happen? Help me out here, because I am trying to understand this worn-out, overused "logic".

The idea that people can not pay heed to more than one thing at a time is baffling to me. That's how this is supposed to work, right? As long as drones are flying around, it's the only thing we can think of?

Now that people are looking up, every airliner going into a NY area airport is a ‘drone’. Kinda funny how most pictures show lighting as required for flying at night.

As an addendum, a few with the Mavic Pro are adding to the circus.

I have been reading this thread and listing to the best in the news business and thought hmmmm. I was in Army Aviation and have a good eye for aircraft. Tonight, in Muncie, Indiana, we saw what I thought was a helo and then thought no...
I cannot be 100 percent certain but we think it was a drone and a big one. Weather was very overcast with rain drops off and on and the normal lights one sees on an aircraft were not there. Just two white lights and movements that were both fixed wing and helo. Copy cats maybe. But it was way bigger than anything I have seen before.

New Jersey congressman Chris Smith and NJ sheriffs asking the good questions at a presscon today:

"Why can't we bag one of these drones, and get to the bottom of it."
"Why can't we follow them, and find what their origin is."
"If it is them (the government), just tell us."

Actually, we have tried intercepting these things with our own advanced drones, but apparently the UAPs have evasion tactics/technology, and simply squirt away or even disappear when approached.

Not sure if any official body has tried shooting at them yet.

Do none of the Sheriff's departments have a helicopter? If they do, get to it. What's stopping you?

I believe they did try, but the drones have evasive technology. They speed away, or reportedly just disappear.
