The FAA's tempory flight restrictions enacted last December over dozens upon dozens of areas in New Jersey and New York were set to expire yesterday, today, tomorrow, and the next day.

If these restrictions were the reason for the sudden drop off in drone sightings when last December, then it stands to reason we shall see a spike in sightings as the restrictions expire.

I suspect, much like the number of drone stories between then and now, there will be none.

It would be pretty easy to spoof transponder data. A little bit of knowledge and technical ability is all it would take.
