"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24
After 3 years of horrific knee pain, I finally found a orthopedic surgeon who found my problem and gave me a partial knee replacement. It's been less than a month but my therapist said I am ahead of the game. Still a little sore but the bone on bone pain is gone. I am so happy I will be able to walk pain free again.

Remember, half the orthopedic surgeons graduated in the bottom half of their class. You must have found one that graduated in the top half. Mike

Congratulations NHForester I believe a celebration is in order! I was considering having a bourbon tonight but now I will be sipping a Blanton's in honor of your presidency!
No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.
My son did his first solo today at San Luis Obispo. He was rocking a Bellanca Super Decathlon (a taildragger). The first time around went smoothly and all was great. Then when he was downwind someone declared an emergency due to an alternator problem and returned to the airport. Following that rodeo, things got crazy busy in the pattern with a mix of Embraers, RJs, CitationJets, an Air Force King Air 200, and a Pilatus, and even an older model Cessna 425. At the end of it all, it took an hour to do three takeoffs and three full-stop landings. He handled it well though, had a good time, and logged one of the ten hours of solo he needs.
Now I just have to work on his sister. She says she doesn’t want to learn to fly, she just wants to do aerobatics. On the other hand, maybe I should leave her alone though. She already rides horses with Mrs. slosig and maybe one expensive hobby is enough...

The third fish my youngest son is holding was about the same size as the other two except a shark ate it as it was being reeled in. It’s one way to get a head in life.
