I’m guessing we will never know what was wrong…

It's really a shame to return an elite machine that in the end, would have served him many years.

Yes, if only he had taken the screw out from the underside of the machine.

My SQ have served well for years. Even though I bought the ones with electronics (gasp). Don't tell the forum!

I’m odd man out but we’ve been happy with our machine.

OP- Full disclosure, many of us on this forum are paid to visit internet sites and shill for Speed Queen.

Sorry, you got burned, but it's a very lucrative position if you are dedicated, and you can work from home.

Speed Queen did send a tech out to look at the machine. The board is damaged. But the machine is going back today to the store. It will not be replaced from that store.

The Cambridge Dictionary says;

OBTUSE (adjective)

stupid and slow to understand, or unwilling to try to understand:
The answer's obvious - or are you being deliberately obtuse?

What does this mean? Is SQ going to get you a new one? Would you accept a new one? Do you no longer want a SQ?

^^^ He’s getting a refund, and with that will buy a different brand.

Definitely a Whirlpool, Miele, Electrolux, GE, Samsung, LG, Hot Point, Maytag, Kenmore, or Amanda. Autocorrect put that last one in there, but I left it just in case he finds someone named Amanda to wash his clothes so he can blame the forum if it doesn’t work out.

I hope he hasn’t read the Glock thread.

Big Grin

I'm still using my 25+ year old Maytag washer... it just keeps going and going. I've replaced the dryer...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
