Told cops where to go for over 29 years…![]() |
Ha, ha, ha! You fell for it ROTFLOL! I told all the other SF guys in our secret meeting you were too smart to fall for such an obvious prank, but I guess I was wrong. We sure got you!!!!! What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I think your reaction should be tailored a bit at this point. I would contact the manufacturer directly and see how they handle it. No manufacturer puts out 100% reliable units. I highly doubt that speed queen earned their current reputation for no reason. I would give them a chance to rectify the situation. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I understand the frustration, but ranting unreasonably is not going to convince anyone to come over your side. Yes, the next logical step is contacting the manufacturer. My bet is that they will make it right for you. Q

Even better: 100% reliable and foolproof: no moving parts, unlimited water And not to pile on, but you're barking up the wrong tree with that rant. Oops, I did pile on.

Despite your issues, I stand by my recommendation. If you got a defective unit, well shit happens across all types of items. I am confident that Speed Queen will make it right. You said you removed all packing but your issues sounds like you did not remove the large white plastic screw located in the center of the bottom of the unit. You need to tip it over to get to it. I will take you at your word that you did remove it, but based on your posts here, I think that if you discovered that you missed it, you would not admit it here. I hope you are able to get this resolved with minimal trouble. “We truly live in a wondrous age of stupid.” - 83v45magna "I think it's important that people understand free speech doesn't mean free from consequences societally or politically or culturally." -Pranjit Kalita, founder and CIO of Birkoa Capital Management

Frustration is understandable up to a point... I just got a new GE dishwasher from Lowes, it went 2 weeks before the circuit board went. I could have fixed it, but since under warranty (like your Speed Queen should be), a guy drove from way past Ashland KY to my house to put in a circuit board. Did you have the delivery people also hook up both units? Seems strange that they didn’t do a test run to make sure the units were working correctly prior to them leaving?

Oh, yeah, I can see how you cleaned that right up. Not stepping on any toes with your edited version, no sir: Let me ask you something- were you dropped on your head as a child? Your pride is doing you no favors right now. I'll say it again: you owe apologies to some of the members here. You've been a member here for a long time. You've met me in person. You should damn well know better than to show your ass like this. Apologize It's the right thing to do, and don't tell me that you don't know that's true. You had no call to insult people who tried to help you, and gave you good advice. Uncalled for, plain and simple. Apologize

My wife bought a new rav-4. All kinds of things went wrong, all under warranty. Toyota took care of everything and 130k miles later it’s been perfect. She got all worked up, shoulda bought a Honda etc. I just kept saying relax, it’ll be fine.

I can certainly understand your frustration after paying a premium price for a high-end unit. Things happen. HK and Walther will occasionally have problems but they take care of them ASAP. The P365 production really wasn’t ready for prime time when SIG released it, but by all accounts it is a solid platform. Call SQ on Monday and let them do their thing. And yes, our SQ has been flawless. Mrs BB61 is thinking of buying a second set for the basement she likes it so much. __________________________

Imperfect shit made in an imperfect world, by imperfect workers, purchased by imperfect people with imperfect expectations, and then gonna bitch because imperfect realized expectations. Welcome to life. Your pissing match is with the place of purchase, the manufacturer and maybe God. But your attitude to anyone who owed you nothing in their giving of opinion, because you still made a choice that you solely own, but now have some remorse, and you want to spread all that on others? Well, my 2013 Toyota Tacoma went through 3 complete AC systems from a well known AC compressor issue from 2012 to 2015. Each time the repair was about $2,800 and Toyota refused to do anything. First, claimed I damaged the system by submerging it off roaring, which was a bald faced lie as it was a pavement princess. They quietly re-engineered the system after 2015. The way the Toyota dealer and later the regional rep treated me completely soured me on their products. My BMW Dinan M550 bi-turbo V8 cost me less in repairs than my “reliable” winter vehicle over the decade I owned both vehicles. Let that sink in! My guess is either a lemon slipped through or something wasn’t done correctly on the delivery. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil
