I am thinking it is simply a matter of protecting the privacy of witnesses, family, perhaps some method, procedures and information that investigators or agencies do not want to be public knowledge that would be detrimental to function, as well as possible embarrassing information from screwing up.

The latter should actually be produced, as a matter of holding accountable screw ups by those that serve the People.

Not unlike these whack jobs that do violence and have "manifestos", those officials desiring to keep such things from the public are self-serving and trying to control things they should not.

Over 2000 records “found” by the FBI that were never given to the Warren Commission:

You're inferring that the Warren Commission was not privy to some or all of these records.

https://www.axios.com/2025/02/...ssassination-records

https://wltreport.com/2025/02/...xed&utm_campaign=PTN

These articles refer to a "review board" and not the Warren Commission. Until those records are released, we do not know what they contain and therefore we do not know what information in those records was known by the WC. This review board may have been formed in 1992 or 2007 (dates relevant to the expressed intent to release files on the assassination) or even later, up into the early part of President Trump's first term.

Furthermore, the Axios article says:
quote:
Reality check: The remaining records to be disclosed — as well as the newly discovered tranche of 2,400 reports — are unlikely to definitively prove whether Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone-wolf assassin or was part of a broader conspiracy, experts say.
Honest to God, I do believe that a substantial percentage of the conspiracy theorists expect these records to say "Yes, the Federal government conspired to assassinate John Kennedy. Here are the names of the key players and here are the names and photographs of the assassins, and here is the plot in its entirety."

I suspect that the records which were concealed will or would have embarrassed the FBI and some of these records were deemed information too sensitive to release to the public at some point in the past, as a matter of national security. It is a fact that Oswald was interviewed by the FBI before the assassination, due to his defection to the Soviet Union. Anyone familiar with the facts will recognize the name "Hosty" and will also likely know that Agent Hosty destroyed records related to his contact with Oswald, after he learned of Oswald's assassination of Kennedy. The conspiracy buffs take this as a sign of FBI involvement in the assassination, but what it really indicates is the FBI's attempt to cover up their clumsy, half-ass investigation of Oswald.

Having said all of that, the empirical evidence has, over the decades, consistently supported the idea that Lee Oswald acted alone, entirely. I guess we'll have to wait a few more years before people will once again settle down and accept the facts and the truth.

I’m just posting information. The fact of the matter is we - the lowly peons - have no idea what is in those files. It could be damning evidence. It could be mundane stuff like travel records of the investigators or records of who was interviewed for the Commission.

I’m just glad we have a president who is going to treat us like adults and release it all.

I have a good idea of what is not in those files.

You will never convince me that the kill shot on JFK came from Oswald’s position or his rifle. The blood spray and bone ejected from the back of his skull onto the trunk of the car could not possibly have come from a FMJ round fired from behind and above. I have shot a considerable amount of large game with .277 and .308 caliber rifles. We shoot hogs behind the ear hole here to drop them fast. Never once have a seen an explosive entry wound on the front side of the target animal facing the origin location of the round. Always a small entrance hole on the side toward me and a large exit wound on the far side of the animal. Meaning the kill shot came from Kennedy’s front or the video and autopsy photos have been doctored. The “official” story makes no sense when you watch Jackie crawl out on the truck of the car to pick up a big piece of his skull that was blown back to the rear of the car’s trunk - in the direction they claim the bullet came from…

They could solve this issue easily by exhuming the body and doing a forensic autopsy focused on the skull.

Of course not, not even frame 313 of the Zapruder film.

The only things added to this frame are the text ("Arrow Indicates Prominent Line Of High-Speed Ejecta") and the red arrow.

But, as you say, nothing shall convince you.

I am, on the other hand, weak of mind to such a degree, that I started out believing all the conspiracy stuff (including a frontal headshot) and, after thorough examination of the evidence, allowed myself to be swayed. Smile

Anna Paulina Luna, who is heading a task force looking into federal secrets, said she believes there were two shooters in the JFK assassination.

https://nypost.com/2025/02/11/...n-jfk-assassination/

But why is she leading a "task force"? Trump promised that the files would be released, period. I want to see a list of Epstein's clients, not some "task force" description of the list.

Is she's saying two shooters based on what she knows about the files? Or is she just speculating? This is the problem with the task force. They could release their findings and we learn nothing at all, really.

The evidence has not- and shall not- bear this out.

I tend to think that she is being swept up in the drama and has misinterpreted some thing or things, and likely because she wants to believe in a conspiracy.

She has managed to put herself in quite a position with her stated "belief" and she may come to regret her public expression of it.

I am very disappointed with this task force crap. That's not what Trump promised.

Without the files themselves, we are likely to get opinion, distortion, (deliberate or not) with no "secret" fully disclosed.
