| A number of combat units adopted it as a 'team logo' while downrange, from basic patches to obnoxiously large sized sprayed onto body armor by one of the SEAL task units. Its a morale thing, some units took it beyond reasonable, photos got back to the states and slowly but surely, the general populace picked up on it. Now you're more likely to find it on a did-nothing wanna-be: lifted-truck, beard and tattoos accompanying. |

| It is a strong graphic. Disclaimer: I have nothing with that on it.

Step by step walk the thousand mile road
| It was adopted by a SEAL team operating in Iraq circa 2007. It was a "signature" that let the insurgents know who just kicked the door of their safe house in and killed everyone inside. It's use spread. So much so several European Ministries of Defence prohibited the use by their soldiers. Now it's use is widespread in Iraq and Syria as the coalition forces work to finish off ISIS, for once and all. Domestically you can use it to identify the real idiots; the ones' you run from err you catch their contagion. The giveaway is the punisher logo on the truck nuts hanging below their purple, lifted Subaru Brat.

Nullus Anxietas
| I would no more wear something with that on it than I would any other patch, logo'd shirt or tattoo that I have not earned. (And, even then, probably not. I like the advantage of surprise.)

| I have a regular Punisher logo shirt. Why? Um...because I like the Punisher character? Same as people wearing Spider-man, Superman, etc logo shirts.

| I have a douche bag in my neighborhood who rocks a bright yellow Mustang with the Punisher logo on his hood...I fear him, not because I think he is bad ass but because I am fairly sure he should not be out in public unsupervised. |

What is the purpose of this comment? I think you'll find people capable of understanding lots of things. Come down off your high horse and explain, or keep your comments to yourself.

I don't wear punisher t-shirts, nor do I have a punisher decal on my truck (not lifted), and I do have a beard and tattoos. I am a Navy vet; they kind of go hand in hand. You're throwing a broad net out there. And I do like the (now canceled) Punisher series on Netflix. Just my $.02. All that said, I agree there's probably a bunch of wannabe bad asses out there sporting the logo, but to each his own as long as they keep to themselves. |
