In a warzone.... I get it. It imparts a level of psychological warfare, especially early one when it was adopted by some pretty scary door kickers. I am all about putting the fear of God....err Allah in the enemy. That being said I won't call you a damn idiot to put this stuff on your own personal weapons, especially the ones used for SD in any way but I would at the very least ask you to rethink your decisions. But hey you pays your monies you do what you want. In the civilian world aligning yourself with a gun toting, mass murdering, vigilante is probably misguided at best. First off you guys are way off base. “Earn” a punisher logo? WTF. It’s a comic book. Some military units appropriated it for their use and I got no problem with that. But you guys are conflating a comic book logo with stolen valor. That is a bullshit argument with zero merit. ZERO. Now if you want to say you hate the logo, knock yourself out. My kid loves the punisher logo, so what? He’s a kid who loves the comics and the Netflix show should I start calling him a poser? You guys need to relax. Disclaimer, I don’t have the Punisher logo but the Netflix show isn’t bad.

Wait, what? |
I have a Punisher t-shirt the kids gave me for Christmas. I don’t walk around all steely eyed looking for wrongs to right, hoods to paste, or even troll for active shooters at Walmart. It’s a logo. It doesn’t mean someone is in a certain “way of life”. Perhaps the member should clarify. Folks should keep in mind that this is text. If they are attempting sarcasm, I recommend using one of these: Otherwise, it leaves the text to be taken seriously. I have been a fan of the Punisher comics since the 80s. Had many of them, sold most of them off, I do have a few of the hardback ones still. Heck, I even had a Punisher poster too. I bought a Velcro patch with the Punisher logo over the Thin Blue Line Flag some time ago, its on my messenger bag. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

I wouldn't look too deeply into the above as it was a broad-stroke generalization that I think a fair number of members here have recognized lately. The issue most have is that tough guy idiot who adorns/decorates his possessions with the logo, thinking he's billy-bad-ass with zero bonafides. No issue with the comic character, I've got the first 20 issues of War Journal.

Bad dog! |
Did Marvel create it? Many years ago I saw that skull on a website for "Wicked Grips." At the time-- maybe 20 years ago?-- they made high-end pistol grips-- exotic woods and other materials-- especially for 1911s. I had the impression that they created the design. Interesting if they got it from Marvell. As a couple of posters have said, it's foolish to have that kind of thing on any weapon you might use for self-defense, or on a tee shirt you might happen to have on. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

That. It's becoming the new 5.11 pants and combat boots at the mall. Bonus points if actually worn with 5.11 pants and combat boots. At the mall. Which sucks, because I like the show, and the character. That said, I don't want some overzealous DA trying to sell a jury on the idea that I was trying to emulate that particular character. ---------------------------------------- Death smiles at us all. The Punisher (complete with skull motif) first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man in early 1974. So I'd guess they could have gotten the idea way back when. _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

I have a Craft International hat with their logo, which is a variation of the punisher logo, I got in a class back in 2011, should I throw it away? __________________________________ NRA Benefactor I lost all my weapons in a boating, umm, accident. http://www.aufamily.com/forums/

Yes, Wicked Grips uses the design created by Marvel as The Punisher's logo/insignia. It's been a common design to use on grips since his creation. ---------- The first 100 people to make it out alive...get to live.

Chris Kyle's company, where he got it from his unit (ST3), which is whom popularized it on big scale.
Any opportunity for the prosecution to 'create' a narrative and warp the jury. There's already discussions within various DA conferences (and possibly already gone to trial) where rifles with optics, regardless of magnification, constitutes pre-meditation, ergo, over-charge and try to set a precedent.

I have a Punisher T shirt, and probably some other stuff around. Ive been around since the first intro of Frank Castle in Spiderman. I don't have it all over my car, but I do have a Mandolorian Skull symbol on my Glock cover plate. I don't think I am Mandalorian or anything, just like the characters Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day
