It is a free market. NAACP can do what they want, and viewers can do what they want. It will all come out in the ratings wash. I am guessing the NFL will not lose money.

The world's most famous grill maker just grilled two of today's most famous athletes.

George Foreman took down Colin Kaepernick and Kevin Durant on a podcast Monday, saying neither the football nor basketball star is patriotic.
Foreman, 68, spoke out on the "Offended America" podcast, offering that those who refuse to stand for the national anthem, like Kaepernick, are just looking for attention.

“I love the United States," Foreman said. "They [Kevin Durant and Colin Kaepernick] haven’t been brought up with people who were patriotic.”

He added, “A lot of people died so that they can have that privilege.”

Kevin Durant spoke out recently saying he would not go to the White House if the NBA champion Golden State Warriors are invited.

"I don't respect who's in office right now," he said.

Foreman said all athletes during his heyday were appreciative of the privileges to which they had been born.

“We came in the era we were patriotic. The greatest day of my life was when I put on the colors, representing the United States,” he said, referencing his time competing in the Olympics.

The former boxer also said during the podcast that he credits Trump for helping him out of his bankruptcy by sponsoring a Pay-Per-View fight in 1991.

Foreman said Trump is “a good president.”

Sometimes we hear things and see others assuming too much. The NAACP is a racist organization. But don't for an instant think they speak for all black people. I heard a statistic today that 70% of the NFL is black. And depending on the district, that varies for high school and college teams. Sometimes the black community over steps their power. Think about Missouri for a minute.

I'm going to guess the black community has a lot more to lose by a boycott than they can gain. Even if the football fans follow them.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy said free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick is not a good enough player to be worth the "distraction" of a team signing him to play.

"It's a lot more than just he's not on the team because he doesn't want to stand for the national anthem," McCoy said Thursday. "That may have something to do with it, but I think also it has a lot to do with his play. I'm sure a lot of teams wouldn't want him as their starting quarterback. That chaos that comes along with it, it's a lot.

"As a team, trying to win and not have a distraction on the team, I just take that as a player -- there's certain players that could be on the team with big distractions, and there's other players that it's not good enough or not worth it. I think his situation is not good enough to have him on the team with all the attention that comes along with it. I'm sure if a guy like [Tom] Brady or a guy like whoever is your favorite player -- Odell Beckham or a guy like that -- you'll deal with that attention and play him."

McCoy was asked how Kaepernick's situation compares to that of former NFL quarterback Michael Vick, who became a Philadelphia Eagles teammate of McCoy in 2009 after spending time in prison on federal dogfighting charges.

"He's 10 times better than Kaepernick," McCoy said of Vick. "You'll deal with that situation, that attention, that media aspect of it. The good, the bad attention you'll get. Compared to Kaepernick, it's like, he's not really that good [enough] of a player to deal with.

"So people outside of sports don't really know that. They see only one side of black guy standing up for a good reason [and] the NFL is against him, but I think it's more than that. I think it has to do with some of that. But also, dealing with him with him on the team you're trying to build together. There's so many outsiders [that] can mess up a team. I can see both sides, I really can."

McCoy opined Thursday that Kaepernick, who remains unsigned as the start of the regular season approaches Sept. 7, would not make the roster of "certain teams" in the NFL.

"You just got to look at all sides," McCoy said. "Like, if I'm an owner or the GM of a team, do I want to put him on my team? Is he good enough to be on the squad, to even deal with everything that's going on? That's something that I don't really partake in."

Every time you bring up someone like Foreman or McCoy the immediate screeching of "Uncle Tom" and "kissing white ass" is all you'll hear from the tolerant ones.

I've always held a theory that the real reason Kapernick did what he did was because he knew he was not likely to have too many more years of football left. Instead of admitting that, he decided to make some noise so that he'd be able to claim racism as the reason for his departure instead of his lack of talent.

It will be interesting to watch where this slow-motion train wreck the NFL has become ends up going.

Personally, I think the NFL has enough problems with players shooting themselves/each other, drunk driving, drug arrests, assaults on wives or random people to have to deal with this garbage.

It is good that you make a stand, but when you work for a company that doesn't agree with you making the stand while representing them, there are consequences. Often other companies will shy away from you if it is notorious enough. That is simply business.

These fools (NAACP and NFL) are both looking for attention. It's free advertising for both. The drama alone will make both sides lots of money.

People forget that Kaepernick is unemployed by choice, he opted out of a sizable contract.

Imagine taking time out of your life to protest that a guy worth 20+ million gets a job?
