Why is it that the left is always trying to candy coat their subversive message in different ways so that normal people will swallow it.

Because nobody in their right mind would support these leftists if they really said what they meant.

They need to be asked why they are kneeling

They wouldn't be able to answer with anything but the BLM talking points. Most are participating because someone else on their team is doing it. This is just a stupid exercise in group think.

Not that I'm defending BLM in any way, but that appears to be from a different organization, "Movement for Black Lives."

At least three sources all pointed to the link I provided.

If someone has a better idea as to what the NFL is protesting for, I am open to learning about it.

Don't mess with Texas: Texas Teens Thrown Off High School Football Team After Kneeling for Anthem

Two Texas teens were thrown off their high school football team after they knelt in protest for the national anthem.

Their coach, military veteran Ronnie Ray Mitchem, warned the boys of the consequences when they told him their plan to protest.

"There is a proper time to do something in a proper way," Mitchem told ABC's KTRK.

"I want this put on here," Mitchem told the interviewer. "I have nothing against those young men. I love them."

In the aftermath, Cedric Ingram-Lewis and Larry McCullough from Victory & Praise Christian Academy in Crosby, Texas said they were happy about the publicity their protest got.

Mitchem has stopped watching NFL games due to the players' protests of the national anthem, meant to raise awareness for what they see as systemic racism in America.

"As a veteran I have a strong view of what I feel is disrespectful."

We need more coaches like him

The 49ers play their home games in a stadium that's only half full so it makes sense half of the team kneels

A total of 30 San Francisco players kneeled .

The 49ers added in a statement: "For more than a year, members of our team have protested the oppression and social injustices still present in our society. While some may not have taken a knee or raised a fist, we have all shared the desire to influence positive change.

Today, our team chose to publicly display our unity in a new way and, in turn, urge others do the same." Protesting during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" began last season when Colin Kaepernick, then a 49ers quarterback, took a knee, saying it was to protest social injustice.

Could someone walk me through the path where trashing the National Anthem (and American values) will influence positive change?

Change your perspective to that of the GDCs. Imagine your goal is to coerce the public at large to believe that America is bad. The root of all evil. (Like they already teach in much of academia) Now imagine all this crap gets them to stop playing the anthem all together.

From that twisted perspective - positive change will have been extracted.

Sadly bionic, you make a lot of sense. And I can personally confirm the anti-American agenda in much of academia today, under the guise of social justice - diversity - equality.

In the late 60s the raised black fist, the symbol of black power, was intended to frighten and it always worked with me and still does.

They want me afraid of militant black people? they got it.

Last home game for the 49ers I understand the walk-in tickets cost half of what the parking cost, even then they couldn't sell them.

Teams in 5the past ghave given away tickets to boost the attendance figures and to look good for tv. When the Yankees built their new stadium and the tickets prices and PSL costs drove many away, they were handing them out like candy. M6y town is not far away and they routinly gave away 500 hundred dollar box seats for free. For five dollars, our seniors got the ticket and bus transport to and from the stadium. all to fill seats.

Tens of thousands of empty seats likely at Rams-49ers game

The NFL has been struggling to sell tickets in California so far this season, and when two California teams meet tonight, empty seats will abound.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that tonight’s game could draw the worst crowd in the four-season history of Levi’s Stadium, based on data from ticket resale sites.

The cheapest face value ticket for a 49ers game is $85, but tickets are going for just $14 on StubHub for tonight’s game. Fans will take any price they can get to unload tickets to a game they don’t want to see.

It’s not just San Francisco where the NFL is struggling to sell tickets. Both Los Angeles teams, the Rams and Chargers, played in front of small crowds on Sunday. The Chargers couldn’t even fill up their tiny soccer stadium, while the Rams played in front of a half-full L.A. Coliseum the day after the USC-Texas game packed the house. Oakland is off to a hot start that has Raiders fans excited, but plenty of fans have been turned off by the team’s decision to move to Las Vegas.

Besides the loss of ticket sales, they are losing a fortune in vendor sales, parking lot fees and other areas that they either get a cut off or the entire amount.

High school games draw a larger crowd.

Well, maybe "afraid" isn't the right term. How about, "On Guard?" Or, "Prepared for conflict?"

"Heightened alert status" - that's how I would describe myself with regard to them. It only makes sense when you've been physically attacked several times just because of the color of your skin. It's a self-preservation mechanism built into your brain.

When I am in my official capacity, I'm not allowed to have the luxury of personal opinions.

I think it should be the same everywhere. When in the employ of whatever entity pays your check, you should differ to their ideals and wishes..

When you are on your own time, then do whatever you want.

Just like me, If i was in my capacity as a representative of my job... no protest either way, no opinion at all.

On my own time... sure. say or act whatever/however you want.

Strive to live your life so when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up."

In essence hand them everything so that in a few years the USA will look like Detroit. . . .

A full page of demands correctly and succinctly boiled down into one simple sentence.

Or more simply, "Make us kings, and bear all the costs of our kingdom." Or, "We want to sit around smoking blunts all day and have whitey pay for it."

All this bovine excrement about "reparations". How about all those trillions we've spend on welfare, AFDC, food stamps, subsidized housing, etc.? Only one way I could see paying "reparations". First, only payable to people who can trace their lineage to people who were slaves in the US. Second, the day the "reparations" checks get printed, all the entitlements end. Welfare, food stamps, ALL OF IT.

But if BLM is demanding their own little separate kingdoms, how can they claim this is anything about 'unity'? To do what they're talking about would be the Balkanization of the country. That's anything BUT unity.

Long story short, the NFL is full of shit.

The liberal Media HATES the NFL. These Protests and the Spotlighting of them is a Win/Win for them. These players are giving them the victory they could have only dreamed about. Kill the multi billionaire owners and their league.
I have not watched a single game this season, don't plan to, neither.
As a result, I am finding a lot more productive things to do with all the new found extra time.

It must be so oppressing to be in an occupation where the average salary is $1.9 million a year. Roll Eyes That's what the average salary of an NFL player is.

I think that's more money than a working/middle class person makes in a lifetime.

Can I get some of that oppression?
