I should note that I didn't learn shit about my 226 but I now brew a mean cup of coffee and my smoked ribs are to die for.

When I turned 21 back in 2006 my college buddies and I were all just getting into guns. They were all going into LE, and the local agencies all issued Sigs, so that's what they were buying.

I was the odd man out. I was studying IT and had no LE aspirations, and I'd always wanted a Beretta, so my first gun was a 92FS. We were all pretty inexperienced and we knew it, so we were looking for info anywhere we could find it. I joined the Beretta forum, but a couple of the other guys showed me this place. I lurked around and read for a few months, and really enjoyed the culture here so I ended up joining. I didn't even have any Sigs yet, but that has since changed. I even bought a Glock, lol.

I noticed an extraordinary high density of intelligence and common sense, and after hanging around a while, noticed that I had not been kicked out, so I figured I fooled them. I don't actually remember, but I'd be surprised if this wasn't closer to the truth than any other story I could possibly make up.

I bought a P225. Needed to learn about it. The 225 was traded up (traded down, as the 225 is a far superior firearm) for a 229, then somewhere along the way I had a 239, that was traded with like $100 for the 228 that I have now.

I have stayed a member, because this the best place on the internet.

Bought my first gun the week I turned 21 in 1992, a brand new W. German P228 K-Kote. Found the 1911 forum after spending a little time on a motorcycle forum around 2000/2001. Then I wondered if such a forum existed for Sig enthusiasts, found the forum, lurked for a year or two, eventually signed up. The rest is history.

I applied and PARA let me in. I’m sure he is now questioning his judgement at that moment in time. Big Grin I had purchased a two tone P239 SAS SRT in 40 with night sights which I use as my CCW to this day.

Back in 2002, if I remember correctly, we were coming in to Amarillo from the south side and stumbled across Gun Talk on the radio. I started listening to him for a while and he mentioned Sigforum so I went and looked it up and here I am since Jan of 2003. Only 1 Sig in the family, my wife's P239. But 4 H&Ks.

I bought my first Sig (P229 two tone) 22 years ago and was searching for more info online, and found Sig Forum. Really enjoyed reading the Forum so I signed up. Time flies.

I have bought and sold many Sigs over the years but I still have that first P229. I sent it back to Sig for a complete tune up and it shoots perfectly.

I was interested in obtaining an Sig. It was the best forum on the subject. I stayed for the gay cake and so I could get the official leotard.

Oh yeah, I bought four Sigs in one month.

When I turned twenty one I bought my first gun an HK USP 9mm. I liked it but after a year or two I picked out another handgun. It was a Sig P229 in 40. I like it so much more than the HK. While I was shopping for the 229 I also fondled a P220. After a couple of nights I realized I had to have the P220. While shopping for the P220 i fondled a P226. After a couple of nights I realized I had to have the P226...

Five guns later I searched for info on Sig to try and learn more about these weapons. Found the forum one night and and lurked for a week or two. I have always been amazed that when I had a firearms questions I almost always located someone here who had the same question and ten people who were happy to discuss the answer. Truly a great place to learn!

I do not recall. I tried to search the forum for my first post, but it does not come up. My first Sig was a P226, so I imagine it was related to that purchase, but it seems the exact circumstances that brought me here have been lost to time.

Bought my first Sig (P228) in 1991. I'm sure I found this place while looking for info on it. I'm not much of a poster but more of a lurker. I have learned more about things other than Sigs from this place. Although I belong to other forums I only go to them to look up things related to their titles, etc. I come here because this isn't only a gun forum it's a life forum.

I was looking around for some items for my very first Sig (P225). I came across this website. That was 20 years ago. I can believe I have been a member here a year before my son was born. He is 19 now.
