I was trying to confirm build date on a 1988 p226
New in the box with all the trimmings.

I don't actually recall looking for it. I had purchased a P228 at a gun show some time before, and may have been looking for information about it. There were other Sigs after that; I don't have any of them anymore (much as I tried, I could never master the DA/SA). I stuck around though, to benefit from all the other great information (and people) here.

Well, It was a dark and stormy night 13 years and 2 days ago. The Sig P238 was new to market and, here I is.

I had just bought my P229. I wanted to see what people online had to say.

I came here in late '09 I think to research P220's. I joined in 2010 and eventually bought a P220 carry SAS Gen.2 and a P239 in 40, both used, from members that are still here.

Those are mah Sigs.

I bought my first Sig, a SP2340, in 2000 and was searching for information.

Came across a email list but quickly soured on it. Those that remember Marv will understand why.

Found SigForum shortly after that.

It is amazing of SF has grown since 2000.

Bought a P6 as part of a group buy. Internet said go here for info. This place is so much more.

A young lawyer I worked with as a paralegal shared with me. Our office frequently had guns awaiting shipping in the reception area and some of the gals had range targets posted on their walls. One partner was a hunting guide.

I purchased my Sig P229 that I still have back in 2009. God Bless !!!

I do recall I had a Blackerry and I’m pretty sure it did not have internet.

If I remember correctly it had to do with the Mosquito but not sure.

But there is one thing for sure I'm glad that I did.

I used to go to the Swiss Rifle forum and they had a page of links which included this site. That was over twenty years ago and I've been here ever since.

I was reloading for my duty gun a P226 in 357SIG and found the site, started reading and reading, lurked for about a year, then joined.

Was looking for info on the P239

Caught a look at a P-229 in a Clint Eastwood movie and checked it out. Some research led me here, but it was many years before I actually got my own P-229, bought from a fellow member, since it was after Sig quit producing them.

Also picked up a couple Glocks due to the Glock thread, and a couple cats due to...

Another follower from the S&W forum. Didn't own any Sigs at the time but they eventually grew on me.
Love the culture and members here more than any other forum I'm a member of.

Combination of curiosity about a Browning BDA and a P6. After Para sold the S&W forum I started spending more time here and much less time there.

Just a youngster here compaired to some of the other members but mainly joined for the "cookies". ......... drill sgt.

I was a Lurker for a few months. Then someone asked about TDI Ohio, where I have trained for years. I joined SIGforum so I could share my experience with TDI. Been here ever since.

This is the only forum I am active with.

In fact, tomorrow is my anniversary here.
