Started lurking about early 2009, bought my first gun, Glock 22 and came across the site through a google search and finally decided to join in 2010 and now currently have more Glocks than Sigs!

This is one of two sites I get my daily news Big Grin

Was trying to find out where to buy a nickel plated sig p229. I didn't realize it wasn't something sig offered to the public. Luckily someone pointed me toward gun shops that handled sig police order overruns and was able to grab two of them.

Hence the name.

I held a P938 and thought I'd buy it to carry, or keep if it didn't work out. Found rgrizzle made holsters so I tried some of those too. Got some good advice and stuck around.

Carry the P938 to this day, although many others have come and gone.

As an added bonus, I won the 2014 leotard giveaway but it doesn't fit anymore.

Came to learn about a few Sigs, and while I got the info, I stayed for all the rest of the wisdom! There's the news from around the world, and the comedy, every mystery solved, and question answered! I clicked my ruby slippers 3 times and said "there's no place like home." and here we are.

I bought a SigPro 2022 and did an internet search to see if I'd made a huge mistake.
Serendipity struck twice - I found this forum and discovered the 2022 was a great pistol

I was a newbie to ‘guns’ and after purchasing my first semi-auto handgun, a handsome Beretta 92FS Inox, I ‘needed’ a handgun to carry and was convinced that it was going to be a P239 in 9.

I discovered SIGforum in my during my due-diligence research for the P239 but wound up getting a Glock 19 (which I still have and carry regularly). I have been fortunate to have been able to add a handful of Sigs to my humble collection.

I have been here ever since enjoying all that one of thee best forums on the internet has to offer!

In about 1989 a good friend at the time, a detective for the Oklahoma City PD let me shoot his P229 out at the family farm. I was immediately impressed. It wasn't until 6 or 7 years later that I stumbled across a P229/9 at a local gun shop and put it on layaway. Once I had it in my possession I didn't really do much with it at first. I stumbled onto this site seeking more knowledge and accoutrements. The rest is history and I remain Sig poor. This site because of Para and its awesome members, remains a bastion of sanity in my world today.

I was getting back into reloading, but was adding .223 to my reloading inventory…had never reloaded rifle brass before. In the course of searching for info, I found this forum and QUICKLY realized the expertise present. I also found how committed everyone was to reach out and help.

I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed this tight-knit community. I hope, in some small part, I’ve given back some of the advice that was payed forward to me.

I was looking for info on IPSC which I thought might be an interesting way to spend Saturdays for awhile. I did a search, found a couple of sites that didn't quite float my boat, tapped on this one and found a multi page exposition where no one was called a dick or was buried in inexplicable jargon.

The Sign up was a pain in the tail but I figured if this place took that much care with who they let in I'd give it a shot, so to speak. Of course I didn't know about assless chaps yet and by the time I was horrified by that, I was in.

Thanks, guys, Thanks Parabellum.
