Make sure you drink the whole gallon. I was given that Go-Lightly and it was terrible. I would like to know who can drink the whole gallon. It's impossible.
I have to drink 64 oz of Gatorade with Miralax mixed in together with a laxative. I did use a lidocaine gel (on my own intiative) for the more sensitive region.
I have had three so far. Last time around, I drank the Gatorade solution, waited until I was completely empty as it were, then split a bottle of Chardonnay with Mrs. Blundell. Definitely helped my morale. The key, as my Gastro Doc pointed out, is to drink a clear white beverage. Gin and vodka also work.

My 2017 colonoscopy prep was orders of magnitude better than my 1997 colonoscopy prep, my 2009 colorectal surgery prep, and my 2013 colorectal surgery prep. Two examples:
Violence / Force: The 1997 prep should've come with DIY instructions for mounting a seatbelt to your toilet. 2017 was less violent than Taco Bell.
Volume of liquid: 1997 was a gallon of fluid that you had to chug a shot every 10 minutes. 2017 was 64 oz of Gatorade with two little cough syrup sized bottles of laxative dumped in.
Additionally, the 2017 colonoscopy sedation drug is much better. I was waking up while being wheeled on the gurney between the colonoscopy exam room and the recovery room.

Get the Preparation H wipes. They really help.
Got those. This is my third one. The first was in Korea. I got an enema, a Valium and then they started. Everytime the probe hit a corner, I thought it was going to go through. They finally gave me a spare scope to look at my insides with them to distract me. That was fun. Not.
My father has Crohn's disease, so he gets them a lot. In years past, several times a year. What he says matches the above, they've improved a great deal. When he started with them, they were doing them with him wide awake, watching it all on the tv.

Thank you P-220, Yes, very treatable. I go every 2 years because my colon is a polyp factory. I've had over 15 removed over 6 years. 3 have been pre-cancerious.
Listen to your Doctor on this one.
