“ Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one’s own understanding without another’s guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one’s own mind without another’s guidance.”

It appears a large cache of explosive devices were found at a farm in Virgina. What the heck???

https://www.oann.com/newsroom/...xplosives-from-farm/

12:35 PM – Wednesday, January 1, 2025
The FBI has seized one of the largest stockpiles of homemade explosives after arresting a man in Virginia two weeks ago on an illegal gun charge, the bureau announced.

Brad Spafford, 36, was found to have more than “150 homemade explosive devices, an illegal short-barrel rifle, and bomb-building materials” at his Norfolk farm, prosecutors stated, according to Court Watch.

Spafford was taken into custody outside his farm on December 17th, due to a criminal complaint alleging that he was in possession of an unregistered short-barrel rifle, according to Court Watch.

Investigators who searched the 20-acre property, then allegedly found the majority of the 150 explosive devices in a detached garage, according to court documents filed by the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Additionally, more pipe bombs were later found in Spafford’s bedroom. Those were stored in a backpack that had a patch in the shape of a hand grenade bearing the phrase #NoLivesMatter, prosecutors allege.

Prosecutors also claimed that Spafford was in possession of a jar of hexamethylene triperoxide diamine, or HMTD, a highly volatile compound used in high profile terrorist acts, including the 2005 London public transport bombing.

Nutters gonna nut.

That was my thought...like the end-of-the-world religious types, overly focused on Revelations, he felt he needed to be the catalyst, the spark to enact the actions he was so desperate to see/experience. His affiliations and affinities was simply window dressing for somebody not dealign with a full-deck.

I saw that. Are you trying to say it’s related to the story in the OP?

Lots of fail in that story, not just from a parenting, safety, and legal standpoint, but also from bad writing/knowledge about explosives (I’m shocked!!). It’s funny that the only charge so far is an unregistered SBR. That sounds familiar…

Evidently the FBY has reversed course and is now saying it’s investigation is now terrorism focused.

Apparently the earlier statement about ten dead, a police shootout, and IEDs mentioned in the same breath as “not terrorism” was a level of cognitive dissonance that even this administration couldn’t tolerate.

I was in disbelief about an FBI Agent with a nose ring, inconceivable* - until I found the video and, indeed, there is a young DEI woman with a nose stud!!

We need you, Ka$h! We need you now!

I just saw some of the earlier "press conference" on Fox News.
I have to say that every time there is a serious incident like this, there are always far too many people standing behind the speaker; but always, always disturbing in its ludicrous appearance to us who are not (seriously) hearing impaired are the overdramatized gesticulations of someone "interpreting" for the deaf.
Why is this necessary at all?
How many people require this to be informed of the news?
How much information is really conveyed?

Sorry, but this always looks like a clown show going on and always getting some camera action in the setting of an extremely disturbing event.

To me, it's just another "in-your-face normies" push by the DEI crowd.

Don't forget the guy who did the "sign language interpretation" for Obama when he was in Africa. Made it all up on the spot, like a real clown.

I have no idea if this is true, and if it is true, that it's not merely a coincidence.

No word if the driver is among the dead, if they clacked-off their VBIED or, it was unintentional.

Seems a truck that is somewhat armored and made out of stainless steel is pretty good at containing a detonated blast.

The LVMPD stated that someone died inside the vehicle (the only fatality). From https://www.nwahomepage.com/ne...-hotel-in-las-vegas/:

quote:
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and Clark County Fire Department officials told a news conference that a person died inside the futuristic-looking pickup truck and they were working to get the body out. Seven people nearby had minor injuries and several were taken to a hospital.

Elon Musk confirmed that the truck bed was full of explosives - potentially either large fireworks or a bomb.

quote:
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Wednesday afternoon on X that “we have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck

Anybody else watch Senator Kennedy's news conference where he did or didn't say there is a lot more going on behind the scenes and threatened to talk if the government doesn't?
Also, look up the woman that runs the NOLA police department.
