I'm really glad to see some old names filter back in, even if just a moment. And I'll add the name of jhe888. If he's posted recently, I've missed it, although I doubt it.

AFAIK, jhe had a couple of problems here, and that was his being devil's advocate and overexplaining. I really think that was his profession (lawyer) coming out. I think he's a solid dude.

He is a respiratory therapist, I believe (or something similar in health care), and doing well.

I don't know if that was his CUT, but Orion was one of Benny Bigtime's most devoted sycophants. After he was banned, he told all his butt buddies at Dinkville that SIGforum would be defunct within a year.

That was in 2007 Razz

A loooong time ago, like 20 years, there was a member who was a very prolific poster. I cannot remember his original name, but I think it changed to "Startus" or something like that.

Wow, that name is a blast from the past.

Benny Bigtime, I recall his name was John, ex NYPD starfucker. That whole thing was a high point/ low mark in SF, depends on the day Big Grin. I remember SIGnified going over there and trolling them like an expert, very humorous.

Nice guy. Met him at a NH shoot he organized.

An older one was Dr Lunde. IIRC, he got upset over something and left. He took some amazing pictures in the day.

SRA is another. He has gotten heavily into competition shooting with the CMP and doesn’t post anymore. The irony is he kept on pushing me, for about a year, to join before I did.

He would be welcome here if he could just cool it a bit, because aside from the static, his observations were- in the main- astute.

Since he left under IIRC less than honorable conditions I never spoke up about him. But since he’s mentioned now I’ll say that he rubbed me the wrong way, much like that IndyFFL fella. So I did some digging. Sn3guppy was/is a complete fraud. I had complied a ton of evidence from multiple chat forums where he’d been banned from that proved he was a compulsive liar who claimed to be a lot of things he wasn’t.

Not only was he a complete fraud but he was also an asshole. As I like to say, you can’t be dumb and mean. He was both.

And since I mentioned IndyFFL, he made the mistake of making a lot of claims that I knew were false because he claimed to live in a town that my immediate family lives in and made claims I knew personally to be untrue. I don’t really recall if I ever called him out publicly because he was banned too. But I do recall him coming back several times under different usernames and getting cut down quickly.

mrmn50 Hal Bass being mentioned got me thinking about him.
Mr. Minnesota over 50. His wife was a body builder too and won some titles.
I sold him an AK and shipped it to him, we started emailing quite a bit.
All of a sudden his emails stopped, and the address comes back undeliverable.

His frequent emails to me also just stopped. Now I know why. Very sad to read this. Hal was a good man. Thanks for the update.
