Great quote from the article linked-

quote:
You can’t start a political firestorm in your own place of business and then complain when your business was burned down by the same political firestorm.

I was expecting the other business owners to tell her to shove off.

Elizabeth Outland Branner, Board President of Main Street Lexington, says she accepted the resignation of Wilkinson as the executive director of Main Street Lexington.

“Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best, that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside,” Branner states.

The Facebook Poll from the Historic Downtown Lexington Virginia page is over. Here are the results: 80% against Stephanie Wilkinson keeping her position as the Director of Main Street Lexington.

Great news!
I was wondering how a conservative town like Lexington (Home to VMI ) allowed her to assume a leadership roll like this. Now that her true colors have been exposed she has been shown the door...the Hen is next...

Hahaha, she made the choice.

If she was interested in BUSINESS and not 'SJW', she would have explained to her EMPLOYEES that they are a business and as such, would serve Sanders and her family. Maybe after serving them an exceptional meal she could have made a point to Sanders politely that she and the staff disagreed with her politically but thanked her for patronizing her restaurant.

But I think a business owner should be able to pick and choose show they do business with (and deal with the consequences of their actions).

She was free and made her bed.

I can guarantee that that's exactly what she's thinking. Not holy shit, I really messed this up. Instead she's cursing the gods for sending Sarah through the door. There is no way any of this is her fault in her mind, in fact she probably somehow is sitting somewhere blaming Trump for her behavior.

You never get a second chance to make a good first impression!

She could have told her caller to make sure she and her party gets very good service, and hoped for the glow of happy patrons recommending the place.

But noooooooo! She has to show her ass.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

But it wasn't her fault! Her staff made her do it!

Razz I loove the consistent liberal impulse to be a complete horse's ass - the moment it becomes possible to blame someone else for it. Liberals are all really nice, considerate, thoughtful, sensitive people, see? They're just treated so wrong by this cruel, cruel world.

I wonder if she will maintain that she did the right thing, stuck to her principles, and will accept the consequences. Or will she claim she has been wronged by the evil she was protesting.

Oh there's no bet. If this place closes down, SHE will blame everyone else in the universe except herself. That's leftism, my friend.
