This fool crossed state lines to commit murder. He can go Federal and end up in SuperMax or death row.

The 911 caller who potentially identified the gunman at the Altoona McDonald's was an 'elderly patron' according to an anonymous law enforcement official speaking with the New York Times.

They called cops around 9.15am on Monday after spotting the man they believed matched surveillance images of the gunman shared by police."

Thanks. I was looking for one. And I believe we can be pretty certain it wasn’t a “W” gun or anything similar: assuming, of course he didn’t have another stashed away someplace.

Now, though, we have a “ghost gun,” i.e., one made from an unfinished ±80% frame, and conceivable, but also made on a 3D printer—? I haven’t kept up; what do the experts say about a functional Glock frame being made on a printer?

My first reaction to “ghost gun and 3D printed” was cops talking about things they don’t understand, but ...?

That doesn't look anything like the printed versions I've seen, nor does it look to me like the P80 frames. Instead, I think it's actually a worked-over factory frame. The backstrap where the web of the hand rests, the upper front sections of the trigger guard, and the little fence around the slide lock lever all look factory Glock to me.

Oh yes, totally doable. They work and run fine, can even print your own magazines. In fact, I'm hoping to have a friend print up a whole mess of Scorpion magazines for me soon. There's a number of designs for complete guns out there.

I think that's the case here. They're seeing a stippled Glock and think it's printed. While printed guns are assuredly a thing, I don't think this is a picture of one of them. As you note, there's also no guarantee that's the murder weapon.

What other option is there when they rush call it a “ghost gun” before they recovered the gun? I guess since the couldn’t see the serial number in the security camera footage, what other conclusion could they have come to?

Looks exactly like a Polymer80 PF940...I believe the 'c' (PF940c) Glock 19 variant, as opposed to the 'v2' (PF940v2) Glock 17 variant.

That has been left out of the photos.
