RIP Mr. Limbaugh. You left a huge legacy and here's hoping the movement you sparked keeps the momentum you gave it.

I knew it was coming and I’m still stunned.

I first started listening in 1989 when the program was picked up by KTAR in Phoenix. My wife and I were working on a ranch N of Wickenburg, AZ. The owners were from Harrisburg, PA and the wife kept talking about Rush’s show, so pretty much as soon as it was picked up, I listened when I could.

Let’s see if my memory of the word “dittos” match that of other long-time listeners in SigForum. I recall that early on, callers often said something like, “Rush, I love your program and hope you’re always out there doing it.” It was repeated and callers started saying, “Ditto, what the previous caller said about the program.” Before long it just became “dittos.” What it DOESN’T mean is anything like, “I agree with everything you say.” Although the Left thinks it does.

My one regret is that I was never persistent enough to get through to him and thank him.

My take as well.

Never really listened to his show, but there is no denying his impact on the political landscape of this country.

Sad day for us, and keep your blood pressure down and don't read any comment sections.

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

RIP, Mr. Limbaugh; you were truly a patriot, and giant amongst men. Thank you for unapologetically speaking the truth, and giving such clarity of words for what so many were thinking. Godspeed!

As a near charter listener (30 days after going national) I feel a deep sense of loss. It as if we have lost a brother or father, but at the very least a patriot who loved his country.

Although there are other talk show hosts that are significant, he stands alone and cannot be replaced. His influence politically and socially cannot be understated.

Bless you Rush and may your memory be forever venerated.

I very much appreciated his optimism all the way to the end that we Americans would defeat the Communist Democrat party. As soon as I heard his wife bring in the show, I knew the news would not be good. Fox News had a very nice interview with President Trump regarding Rush. RIP, Rush.

I began listening to Rush in the late 80's on KFI 690 here in So CA. He was so spot on in every topic he covered. There will never be another like him. Thank you and RIP Rush you've earned it.

I had the radio on, heard that Katherine was going to speak and I knew what she was going to say..she gave a heartfelt euology to his listeners. So sad, I have to say, tears flowed. That is the first time that the death of any public figure has done that to me. Like many here, I considered him a friend; I listened to him for many years. He will be missed by many, a guiding light with humor, wit and the ability to move people to action. Farewell, may you have fair winds and following seas.

"Rio Linda!" I live less than 10 miles from Ruh Linda.

As a Sacramento native, I would catch Rush in his early days. I hadn't followed him over the years, but his impact to promote intelligently AM conservative radio is undeniable.
